Debbie (mama hen) wanted me to share this with the henhouse. Since everyone is journaling and scrapbooking, I shared on the main forum. It’s a project from my 4th grade class in 1967. Our teacher taught us how to decoupage in class, then told us to go home and clip our favorite things from newspapers and magazines, and decorate a bottle or jar. We were then to bring back to school for show-and-tell. I think it might have been a way to get to know our classmates better. Anyway, I loved it so much I have kept it all these years. It sits on our computer desk with small flags in it. The paper has faded through the years, it use to be more colorful.

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

What glue do you use? I've used Modge Podge (not sure if that's spelled right) on some paper projects before and they stayed very sticky.

I love that bottle - and what a fun memory!

I just bought a new bottle of Mod Podge - I might have to give that a try too.

Heather way back then we used watered down Elmer’s white glue, and now I use mod podge( which is probably the same thing) you can find small bottles at Dollar Tree. The stickiness is probably due to the humidity, just like when you paint.

Thanks Wanda! I'll have to give it a try soon. I have some Mod Podge already and with the woodstove going it's pretty dry in the house so that should help.
