Hi ladies,
I just finished this book and loved every single page of it. It was based on a true story of how they kept the American Library in Paris open during WWII and German occupance, how they saved books, delivered books to their german subscribers in secret, how they still found ways to celebrate the special events in each others lives, sharing and donating rations, etc. I have become so much more interested in this era since Mr. Frank came into to my life and now rests above us. For those of you have not read it, it's worth the read.
I have currently moved on to: The book of lost names - same era, involves a library and secret helping hands. Currently half way through, have struggled in putting this one down as well. |

I read both of them - good books! I'm currently reading The Cross Country Quilters by Jennifer Chiaverini. With so much going on I think this is the longest it has taken me to read a book LOL! I usually have them done in a couple days but this ones been a couple weeks and I'm not even half into it yet. |
