This poem was written by a friend of mine.

Forget Me Not

Forget me not, my darlings dear
I sheltered you from want and fear
I covered you with timbers strong
Protected you from shadows long

Forget me not, I beg of you
Remember how I helped you through
The storms and snows and rains of night
My windows let in morning's light

Your children born within my frame
I nurtured them when trials came
I shared your sorrow in these halls
I felt your laughter through these walls

I now am old and almost gone
No one's here, I'm all alone
Time has passed and can't be caught
But this I ask: Forget me not.

Wow, Denise! I love that poem. It reminds me of the old houses that my husband & I have renovated over the years. It's so fulfilling to bring life back to an otherwise forgotten home.

Denise that is a nice poem! Kind of like what it looks here in my area!

Thanks!

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for what he has done.

Just follow God unquestioningly.
Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.

Denise, this poem is beautiful and sweet! I wonder what it was like when it was alive with a family for possibly generations?

I loved old houses like that - so many memories they have held for someone and so many possibilities for the future.
