Ladies, I feel like i never have time to sew. I can hardly get away from the kiddos long enough! lol! This is what I am working on finishing up for a friend. There will be a matching dress for baby sis, too.

Mostly THIS is what I have been working on... :)

Oh, but I really WANT to make something special for Jubilee month. Seems I can't get my local gals to celebrate until later in the month and we are STILL working on a date for it! :P

Despite my car fiasco I managed to finish a couple of things. This is a "Farmgirl dreamcatcher" that I made for a swap. It was so much fun I can't wait to make one for myself.

But this is the big deal to me, I finally made my first quilt blocks, thanks to Linda and her BOM! I've done lots of sewing, but the precision required for piecing really intimidated me. They aren't perfect, but boy did I have a good time, and I am already learning how to improve.

Happy Day!

That Dream catcher is beautiful! Someone is very lucky.
Your quilting is really pretty.
I am working on a Kleenex box cover in plastic canvas that I started years ago and misplaced the book, but realized all the main stitches are done and I can complete it soon.

This is my 2nd one of this floor pillows. This one I am using to keep Lily June from hitting the fireplace. We have had friends and family's babies have to get stitches from falling and hitting the corner of the hearth. She is walking now and wobbly! LOL! Just Pillowcases sewn together and add Plastic snaps. I just finished yesterday. These pillows are fat! but I'm sure they will flatten out. On sale! at wal-mart So I got the fat ones. LOL!!

Amy, that is a gorgeous dreamcatcher. Lucky recepient! Oh and I like your blocks! Do be careful, quilting is addictive! Ask me how I know? lol

Connie, pretty safety pillows!

I finally managed to get a bit of sewing last weekend and finished this little quilt. It's Frivol 7 - Heart by Primitive Gatherings

I'm hoping to machine quilt it this weekend and call it a done deal! I'll be able to use it as a shop sample!

I'm slowly starting to get order in my UFO chaos. I'm just pleased that I'm staying focused and completing what I start.

I want to share a new sideboard that I had my husband built for me (if you read my blog, you've seen it). A lot of the furnitures in my home are made by my husband. They all tell a story. He is quite talented and has made some beautiful pieces, including a gorgeous kayak. Anyway, I digress,

I love how it turned out. Once the dust settles (when we are done with tearing the house apart) and cleaning takes place, I'll be able to display some of my wool table toppers. I'm really excited for that day to come!

Catch you later! Cheers!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments on the sideboard. I am grateful indeed that DH's hobby is woodworking.

On the quilting front, I have been a Quiltin' Fool. I put together the top of this queen size quilt - pattern called snippet

Then, I pieced Frivol 9 - I call this picture Find Frivol 9? lol

So what have you been up to?

Catch you later! Cheers!

Those are nice Carole. You seem to be using your scraps. That is what I need to do. Monday I painted a sign with a Bible verse on it for a lady I know. It will hang above the interior window in her insurance office. In a couple of weeks she wants another, different verse. Hadlee was impressed that I got money, not a lot, but CASH. To a 15 year old cash is important. Have a good remainder of the week.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. That weekend was quite productive for me. By Monday I was ready to start a new project. So I started the quilt pattern Slice of Cake by Me & My Sister and used their latest line Grow! I insanely decided to set of goal of going to bed after I pieced half the quilt. Well, by 2 am it was done!

Would you be surprised if I told you that I beat all week long? Not sure what I was thinking but it wasn't sane! lol

That is a beautiful pattern and fabrics.
I want to get into my quilting fabrics so badly. However I accepted a job for Mrs. Santa. She is going to the Santa Claus convention with her Mr. Claus, in early July in Branson, Missouri. She decided she needed a summer dress. So I am making the dress, caps and two aprons. If that was not enough, she asked that I paint the aprons. One is almost finished. I must focus ( no touching my 10" squares or cutting the newest set until I finish), so I can mail her package to her Monday.
