Hi everyone. I'm happy to say all my swaps will be mailed out tomorrow! Thank you, everyone, for your patience! We are really in the countdown now, only 17 more days until Bonnie finishes school. She will graduate on May 27th, and were having a dinner for her on May 28th. It will be quite an interesting night. Her father, who I left when she was 2, will be attending. He was out of her life until about a year ago, but I have not seen him. Also attending will be his 4th (or maybe 5th?) wife and another daughter, my daughter's half-sister. Her name is Aimee Chambers, how weird is that?!? Only for my dear, hardworking daughter would I agree to this! Film at eleven, hee hee!

Happy Day!

Amy, do not let him intimidate you. You are wonderful and special. You obviously made the right choice all those years ago. So hold your head high and be gracious...It is only for a little bit. God will see you through.

Yesterday Ed and I went to a 50th anniversary celebration for friends of his, then to a 40th birthday party for his son. Today Ed and I went to a baseball game - the Frisco Rough Riders - the farm team for the Texas Rangers. Our team lost, but it was fun going to the game. We were in a box with BBQ and hot dogs included - sponsored by my financial planner's firm. It was a busy yet fun weekend.

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies, I won't let him ruin the day. Linda, sounds like so much fun. We have a farm team in Delaware, the Blue Rocks, and like to go to their games. It's like old fashioned baseball. Bonnie, thanks for the heads up on Darlene! I'm always behind on everything these days. Wow, our very own celebrity!

Happy Day!

Yes, I loved the article on our Darlene in the May online Sister Issue! Darlene, we are so blessed to have the opportunity here to know you better too! It was a hot oner here this past weekend with 90 each day. sigh, I hate to have to put the AC on for the Summer by the end of April and May 1. It bodes for a long hot one!

On a separate note, we are busing getting our house and luggage in order for our trip this week to Europe. We leave Thursday and return May 24. The trip is a river cruise that goes from Amsterdam to Vienna and then by bus to Prague. It will be exciting once we get there. The leaving and flying is always exhausting to me! There will be wifi on the boat most of the times so I will try and keep up with what is going on here. If you don't hear from me, it is because the wifi isn't working which can be a problem in some of the more remote or tiny areas.

This Farmgirl is going to be a "Farmgirl on the Loose" for about 19 days. I will be taking my Jubilee apron with me to wear this coming weekend to be a part of our Jubilee celebration. It will be fun!

Speaking of Jubilee, are any of you planning on celebrating? I read over on the main Forum that some have already posted their aprons to fly and decorated their porches. Don't you wish you could go around and see everyone's porch and pay a visit?

Ohh, I see some bad typos this morning on that last post. Sorry! I should have read over it. Sometimes, my fingers go too fast and hit the wrong key without me seeing it as I type. Old age!

Winnie, sounds like you will be seeing lots of interesting things going to all those places.

We are heading out Friday for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. It falls on Mother's day this year. It does that fairly often. It is also my brother's birthday. I am looking forward to some riding so I am hoping for dry weather and clear trails! That is how I plan to spend the day celebrating the 2016 Jubilee!

Amy, have a wonderful time celebrating with Bonnie. You've earned it too! You've put in almost as many hours I would think. I know you and I'm sure you will be your gracious self and have a blessed time!

Ed and I are planning on leaving on a road trip to Portland, OR, sometime next week. We will be driving a used RV that we will be delivering to someone who purchased it online from a friend of ours who owns an RV lot. We will probably spend an extra week sightseeing - not sure if we will take a tow car or rent one. Any farmgirls close to Portland that we can visit? LOL!

Today is my mom's 94th birthday! She never liked much of a fuss for her birthday, but we're still going to give her a celebration. My brother and sister-in-law are coming today and will stay overnight. Their little dog, Dandy will also join the party, although our cats don't particularly appreciate her visits:) This morning Lily and I will bake and decorate the cake, and then I will be making mom's favorite, eggplant parmesan for dinner. My poor daughter will be locked in her study writing all day, but is going to take a break to join us for dinner. Should be a fun day!

Happy Day!

Amy, that sounds like a fun, busy day. Tell your mom HAPPY BIRTHDAY, from your farm girl friends. Lily will enjoy helping you with the cake. Little girls love to lick the bowl.
