I've been wondering if I should start a new quilting project of continue knitting on a sweater I'm working on .... I chose neither and decided on completing a UFO. I starting this English Paper Piecing quilt in 2015. The top was finished ... it just needed to be machine quilted. Voila!

The pattern is called Little Things: Hexagon by Sue Daley ... all hand pieced ... I do love working with my hands!

Catch you all later! Cheers!

Very nice quilt, Carole. How large is it? Wallhanging or bed size?

I've been working on my Fall Ribbon Swap item - and it is done. Part of my Bowl Filler swap is done. I'm waiting for Ed to paint my can for the Tin Can Windsock. And I'm thinking about the Wine Bottle Dress-ing. LOL! Lots of swaps, but they are fun to keep doing.

Sunday and Monday Ed has been putting in my new kitchen backsplash. We decided to put up Wainscoting, and instead of the 4' x 8' paneling, he is using the 7" wide wainscoting that is more like true wainscoting. He has painted the trim, then painted the walls once, and now he is adding the trim, caulking where he has to, and getting ready to paint a second coat. It is looking great.

We got my new replacement microwave/oven combo unit installed yesterday. It spent 6 days in the middle of the kitchen between delivery and installation. It looks great - now to learn how to use it. My first recipe in the oven was a blueberry cobbler from a recipe I found on the Internet. It turned out great!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments on my EPP hexagon quilt.

Linda, the quilt is maybe 15' x 18". I used a FQ for the backing.

Working on another EPP UFO that I hope to show you soon.

Catch you all later!

Cheers!

You must have used the little bitty half inch hexagons.

I did use 1/2" hexe, I do love EPP .... hand work grounds me ... It keeps me connected to the past ... much of our history is via the needle and thread.

Still working on another 1/2" hexe UFO. Hoping to finish hand sewing the binding on soon.

Cheers everyone.

Today I am working on washing windows. We have 22 so shouldn't take me too long. After I pulled out my fall stuff yesterday I was doing some dusting before putting it out. When I got to the plants by the front windows I decided to move their stand and started wiping down the windows. One thing led to another so, this morning I will get them finished. Feels good to get these kind of jobs done. JT brought a couple storage tubs in from the shed so will go through those and see what we need to send to donations.

Beautiful mini quilt Carol. With all the equipment that comes through our yard, I have to do window quite often. Not my favorite job. Not sure what I am doing today, my husband mentioned possibly starting wheat harvest today depending on field conditions so if that's the case I will be busy.

Our bluegrass is finished, the wheat is almost finished and the new grass is planted. Things are still busy but not frantic anymore. I have been sewing up a few smaller projects and trying to get my crocheted tablecloth finished before the end of the year..only 86 more squares to go! haha

Working on some Fall things for our swap.
Doing my cross stitch in between sewing and house projects. Two more things to get finished in the house fix up. Slowly working on getting things sorted in the shed. I've been ruthless in clearing stuff out.

We are still in wheat harvest, hopefully done by Thursday as they are predicting rain. Debbie, I have done 3 crocheted tablecloths they are time consuming but so worth it. I take small hand sewing projects or crochet projects in my tractor to work on while I wait for combine loads. I don't get much time to work on things but at least I am not bored. I always prep freezer meals before we start any harvest so haven't had to worry about suppers and everyone is responsible to pack thier own lunches. I just do the shopping and pack the refrigerators. This time of year I am thankful for more than one fridge.

Denise, I was ruthless when we moved to this farm but I still find more to get rid of now that we are here.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.
