Many of my flowers have already bloomed. Daffodils, hyacinth and the bleeding hearts bush has blooms already. My rose bush is huge this year already, though no buds yet. I also saw tiny buds starting on the lilac bush and my Apple blossoms will soon be in bloom.

Hoping this month is warmer than last. A better month for us all.

P.s. let's keep talk about the virus to the thread Marilyn started. Easier to find and better for our mental health if it's not in every thread. Thanks!

Thank you, Denise. My brain is kind of on overload with the CV right now.
My daffodils are blooming now and the lilacs are full of buds. I really need to clean my flower beds but it has been too cold and so windy! I decided to plant a pumpkin patch for the grandkids and bought seeds when I ventured out last week. I got regular jack o lantern pumpkins and some that are supposed to grow huge, just for fun. Also, lots and lots of sunflower seeds!!! I thought they would be happy and bright.

Debbie you could grow a sunflower house/tee pee. for your grandkids to run through and play in.
I bought pumpkin seeds last year, bit because they were planted too late I only got one small pumpkin. I was stingy and saved most of the seeds for this year. I ordered lavender seeds last week. So I will try them once more.

We strew some older bluebonnet seeds out in an area at the end of our driveway last year and - surprise surprise - they came up this year! Ed just spread them out and didn’t cover them, like when the plants themselves drop them. Well, it worked, but now we won’t get to enjoy them every year. I’ll have to get some more and put out here - we have a drainage ditch on one side of the house and they love sloped areas.

I love our state flower...the Bluebonnet, Linda. I have planted them several times but the birds swoop in to eat my seed. I'm glad you got them to grow. They are beautiful. My son sent me a photo last week of a train track, bridge in the distance and bluebonnets everywhere. Just heavenly.

Well, we are all bloomed out down here and into early Summer. Most all of the pretty flowering plants are finished. However, this cold front blasted through last night and tonight and tomorrow night are supposed to be in the upper 40s with the day in the mid-70s!! Today was delightfully cool, requiring a sweater, until mid-afternoon. I was thrilled!! LOL!! Today at the market, I found a big bunch of ***** Willows and bought them for a tall pitcher vase. When I was growing up, our neighbor two doors down had a beautiful huge bush/tree that bloomed every year. Being able to bring some home today just made me so happy!!

Winnie,
Don't you just love when you find something that brings back great memories.
Linda won't they be pretty at the new house too. Will be great for showing when buyers come to look at your other house.

My tulip/dinner plate magnolia is blooming. Such great big petals on it. My other magnolia is going to lose so many more of it blooms today. Seems whenever that tree blooms we always have very windy days that take all the blooms off. The front yard is a sea of pink in white blooms.
The rose bush my daughter planted way back when is promising to be loaded this year. I need to go out and tie it up so it won't break off later. It shocked me to see how much it had grown this year.
Not much going on. Going to do chores and then finish up working on the baby afghan. One more skein ought to finish it up.
What are you all up to today.

Spring snowstorm going on here, so today will be a sewing day. My new chicks were supposed to be into Tractor Supply, but they haven't called yet so maybe tomorrow. They only shipped yesterday from Iowa so one more day won't hurt them.

I started my tomatoes and peppers last week and will plant the brassicas next week. I also want to get some sweet peas started. While many of you are seeing flowers and budding trees, my grass is just starting to green up and we are a long way from having flowers and leaves on our trees.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Julie, I guess where you are you actually have Springtime during April and May. By May here we usually have a good start on summer. Enjoy getting your sewing done! Will your snow last that you are getting today?
It is so windy here I am seeing pink blooms flying past the windows from the tree out front.

FLowers and Trees blooming everywhere. I went to the tiny post office in the town of Brunswick,Tn. Never no one there. Hardly ever pass another person. Great for these times because it has 1 window and it has a plastic shield over it and just a slot to push the mail under and your money. They planted these White iris there when the post office moved from the general store to their own building about 20 years ago. They have flowers blooming all year.

Bright and sunny today but the wind has not let up yet. Maybe tonight they say.
My front yard is a sea of pink and white from the magnolia but there are still lots on the tree. That surprised me when I looked out. I thought it would be mostly bare. Good to see the sun.
Going to see if I can get some bread made and in the freezer today.

The kitchen has a window and upstairs there is one and one looking into my carport garage.
That is it it is good.

Have a good day crafting.

Love you all!

Beautiful Iris !! They remind me so much of the ones my Mom grew outside our kitchen in a tiny little garden. She had lots of white, purple and few yellow ones and I always thought they are some of the prettiest flowers of Spring.

Darlene, you have a nice big front room window to let all the sunshine in!

Rainy here today. Kinda gloomy. Ed went to Walmart today at 7 am to replenish. We needed cat food and a few other things. He said some shelves were minimally stocked but others were full. A friend went to Brookshire’s yesterday at 9 am and said shelves were full and hardly anyone was there.

I just posted another Giveaway over at the main Forum if you would like to throw your name in the hat. It is for a simple knitted hat made from cotton yarn in bright spring colors. Many of you may have seen this style of little hat before as I love to make them and embellish with colors and sometimes flowers.

Nice view, Darlene.
Cute hat, Winnie.

My iris are coming out at the farmhouse, too. I love the bright purples and yellows. I will miss them. I will be digging up and bringing some of the bulbs here so I can enjoy them in years to come.
