Homemade Peanut ButterIris flourish

Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: None
Makes: desired amount

Ingredients

fresh roasted peanuts

salt to taste

Directions

  1. Indeed you can! If your family is small, it is better to make only a small quantity at a time, as the butter is very apt to become rancid if it stands long.
  2. Select only fresh, perfect peanuts either freshly roasted or you may roast them yourself like you roast coffee. Shell the nuts and remove all of the red skins. This can be easily done by shaking the roasted nuts in a colander.
  3. Put the nuts through the smallest grinder of the food chopper, or if you have no chopper, a coffee mill may be used. Then work the ground nuts to a smooth paste in an enamel bowl or crock until it is all the same consistency. Add salt to taste.
