In a perfect world, where we could just jot down the street and pop in for a visit, who would you go visit? Mine are Alee and FebruaryViolet (Jonni). I think both these ladies would be a hoot in real life. I also have met a few I would love to see more of, especially Fiddlehead Farm (Diane).

Who would you like to have some front porch sittin' time with?

@Joey, you are on my "list" too, I'd love to give you a great big ol' hug and talk and talk. Maybe someday we will meet up! We'd have fun, for sure! I'd also love to meet my pen pal, Amy in Minnesota, and Marlene in Iowa. There's just so many it's hard to list here. Alee, Nini, Jonni, Diane (Fiddlehead Farm), Annika, and Dutchy are all farmgirls whom I've "seen" here over the years. Love you all!!

Kathy, I lived in Glen Burnie (Harundale, actually, on Kirk Road) when I was a little kid -- attended Glen Burnie Elementary. I really loved it there. Used to get my Girl Scout stuff and Buster Browns at Robinson's. My father used to take me horseback riding at Fort Meade, which used to have terrific stables where a lot of the officers boarded their steeds and we could have our pick. You make me nostalgic! If you're ever in Virginia, give me a holler :) I live about 40 miles west of DC, but it's real farm country.

Jonni, your post made my heart smile! I thought the same thing about you when I saw this thread. You are an old soul, and I love that about you! And of course I love seeing pictures of Violet and hearing of her adventures. Heck, I'm still dreaming of Fairy paths in the forest! ;)

I too don't want anyone to feel left out, so I would say I would love to meet everyone. Some of us are more shy than others and so I would like to meet them, cuz I think they have a story to tell. We are all diamonds in the rough.

I brag at work about the neat farmgirl sisters I have met online. Isnt it great to be a part of this?
FebruaryViolet Posted - Apr 10 2012 : 07:59:01 AM
That's so sweet, Elizabeth--I think you and I would hit it off royally and have often thought, "how could I get to where she is. My Aunt lives in Rockford, IL!" And Violet and Rosemary could play, play, play. There are so many girls on the forum that I would love to meet up with--and always think to myself, "if only..." In Kentucky, I've been lucky enough to actually meet and have made dear friends of Miss Wilma, Miss Bee Haven and Nubidane (Lisa) and now and again, Lisa brings her dear friend and super sweet, all things about goats farmgirl, Wooliespinner (Linda) and that's such a treat.

But, on my list of "dreams", well, in no particular order, Frannie in Texas, and Melanie from PEI. And Emily Anna, a newer farmgirl, but we seem to have a great deal in common. Also, Linda from Chi-town, and Sharon ^ above :) Some of the girls I've had "swaps" with, I'd love to meet, too! Blessed in Colorado, you and I could just go linen shopping :)

Kathy, my honey grew up in Glen Burnie :)

I have had the privilege of meeting CJ ( also a neighbor :)) and her daughter Robin. This Thursday I will get to meet Debbie and Marilyn too on their travels to SW Colorado!

It would be a blessing to meet any of you ladies

It is possible to love someone you have never met! I love all the women on the Over Fifty Forum. Especially Glenda. (You know, she was responsible for releasing the inner wild in all of us when she got banned from returning to Maui for a year for kidnapping that pool boy and stuffing him in the suitcase.) There were others in my suitcase, too. Thank heavens that Tall Holly has the Gift of Herding Farmgirls and is now orchestrating the travel. (Holly broke me out of that museum jail cell when I was trying to escape from that adorable pirate and got accidentally locked in. Long story ... on the Over 50 Thread.) I WILL get to meet Nancy when we are both in Huntington Beach in June. Can hardly wait. Patty Byrd and Holly Perdue are amazons and on top of my want-to-meet list! And then there's Bunny and Penny and Marianne and Dianne and Thelma and Ginny and Janet and .... Hey - I want to meet all my gfs from the Chronologically Gifted Thread!

I'd just like to meet any farmgirl sisters in Maryland. I've been trying for weeks to make contact with a chapter in Glen Burnie that are still accepting new members, but have gotten no response. I guess they must be closed......

I love chatting with every farm girl on the line, but in person would be wonderful. Real world friends would be nice.

One big gathering would be amazing.....all (almost) 4000 of us!! Think Woodstock!!

Hugs and Squishies!!

If I had to pick one it would be Bunny. I'll never have to pick just one, though. I'd love to go to a Farm Girl convention!

I'm pretty new here but have already "met" so many nice FarmGirls-I would love the chance to meet some of you in person!
Miss Bee Haven Posted - Apr 05 2012 : 04:06:06 AM
Of course, everybody. An even bigger gathering like Miss Wilma had a few years ago and everybody would be there. Diane, love you pics. The one thing about all our pics of being together is that we look so very happy! A bunch of girls having the times of our lives. I feel like I visit Nancy Jo now, through pics of her place. Would love to go thrifting with her and see Jack and Dave. And we all here in Ky talk about having frannie come here to see us. And Aunt Jenny(and Mona too). And the list just goes on and on and on. I love this place to pieces! :)

Of course, I would love to sip iced tea with all y'all but a few do stand out to me-I would love to meet CJ and have her hand me my custom made apron-I'd love to meet Margo and just hug her tight and tell her to hang in there-I'd love to meet Grace and have her show me how to spin her wonderful wool into yarn-I'd love to meet Melody and spend a day helping her make her fabulous soap-I'd love to meet up with my friend, Texdane and just spend the day talking and talking-I'd love to meet Ninibini and just get a hug-I bet she is one of the best huggers in the world-and on and on. All of you are dear to me for so many reasons. Hugs, Joey

Wouldnt it be SO neat (insert your imagination here) if it were physically possible to ALL meet one day for a picnic lunch and tea? Just a full day from sun up til sun down of farmgirls shooting the breeze and enjoying one anothers company?
Ok so I am dreaming, but heck- one can dream right?
Would love to meet ALL of my dear farmgirl sisters! Boy what a gathering that would be!
