Even though we make cheese, butter, yogurt, ice cream, and feed up a couple of pigs. Well, if you're in western washington and want to purchase the perfect family milk cow, let's talk!

Posted - Apr 25 2012 : 4:42:26 PMI am sorry you are thinking of getting rid of your milk cow. If you have too much milk are you milking twice a day. I milk once a day. In the morning and her calf is with her the rest of the time to take care of her udder. Coco freshened at the end of January and I milk about 3 gallons a morning. Her calf is still sleeping with her at night so she drinks before I get there. If she starts drinking too much she will sleep in the stall next to her mama.
