We have NEWS! MaryJane and Megan are opening up a new MaryJanesFarm bedding and bath (and so much more) store in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. It's located in the Plaza across from the Coeur d'Alene Resort. You can take the skywalk to "The Shops." You can't miss our store because MaryJane has her teal-colored farm truck (complete with a "truck bed" as shown in our magazine and book) parked in the lobby!

The grand opening is August 29, from 10am-6pm. MaryJane will be signing books from 4-6. Our normal shop hours will be 10am-6pm, 7 days per week. We'll also be offering cooking and sewing classes after hours. Coeur d'Alene is home to a gorgeous clear-blue lake with white sand beaches. Our shop is only a stone's throw from one of its public beaches.

And our shop will be the jump-off point for next year's Farm Fair, "Buggy, Barter, and Boogie." Stay tuned for more on that!

And just before Thanksgiving, MaryJane and Megan will be opening up a second store here in Moscow. Stay tuned for details.

P.S. We'll be featuring Sherri Grubbs' (mikesgirl) children's clothing as well as other Project F.A.R.M. (First-class American Rural Made) items.
P.P.S. We'll post pics of the event for those of you too far away to attend.

Here's a link for how to meet up with other farmgirls who will be attending the opening August 29:

Shirley Jean,
did you read the little write up they did on having a clothes line?
It was a very good little tidbit about the importance of having a clothes line & how some communities have gotten "snooty" over the use of a clothes line...

I just got my catalogue from Vermont Country Store and there is a photo of a vintage green truck on it! I think I see a trend here! A farmgirl trend. :)

Oh, to be a little mouse in that store! LOVE IT!!! I want to live there.

Now MJ needs one of those sleeping kitty Perfect Petzzz to sit up on the counter. They're lifelike stuffed animals that "breathe" while they sleep.

I know, not only would I love to get my hands on some truly old vintage dresses, but I'd like to squeeze my body into one....oh to have a waist under 22"...ok how about 26"....lol!
I read awhile back that Tasha Tudor's entire vintage dress collection was sold off(before her passing I think.) I have seen some of her collection in past Victoria magazines and they were just beautiful!. sigh!

miss wilma,,,me set you up!?! snicker snicker! Naw!!!! hee hee!

I feel so happy - for MaryJane and her family.

I feel sort of sad - that I cannot participate, or add things to her store.

I feel so proud and hope that the store will be a great success.

Wish I were closer, and could really pitch in and help too!!!!!

Miss Wilma - and MaryJAne - where do you find those old vintage lace dresses? MaryJAne sent me a skirt that is so beautiful. I never find that in these parts, and I do root around looking!

Anyway, the store and the opening looked grand indeed!!!!! Good luck and all my fondest wishes are with you!!!!!

Thanks Grace! That's a really great picture - could you e-mail a copy of that to me so I can send it to my kids and brag? I can not only see my applique jackets in the picture, but also the back of a couple of my patchwork dresses and one of my warm and woolie jackets. Thanks so much!!

What a great day! I can best sum it up by saying that meeting with the fantastic farmgirls and seeing MaryJane, her family, and of course the shop completely recharged my batteries. I came home just glowing happy. It really is a destination vacation to come to CdA, see the shop, and of course get in touch with the great nearby farmgirls. If any of you farther off gals get the chance to come up, please do! I'm just gushing happy. I hope MaryJane has a huge success with the store. It is precious, and so filled with work made lovingly by talented farmgals. It was a real treat.

We make a difference. http://huckleberrywine.blogspot.com

Sherri, your little tot wool jackets looked so cute displayed on the vintage Pram.
MaryJane, the ever so gracious hostess had her chocolates out for us to enjoy, & enjoy we did....my all time favorite, the Chocolate Lavender bar...yum!
