3 friends I are getting together tomorrow to make cheese. I am so excited. Anyone have any suggestions. My friend has made it before and leading us on this venture.

I havent made it lately, but have made it many dozens of times. My very favorite cheese to make. I always make ricotta with the whey leftover. So fun!

I've used the 30 minute recipe. It's so easy and I get my rennet from cheesemaking.com. it was super easy and it came out delicious

Hoegger's supply is a good place for cheese making supplies as well as www.cheesemaking.com -- and there are other cheesemaking websites. I make easy Mozzarella and ricotta from a cook book called "Goats Produce II" - great recipes in there for cheeses. These would work with cows milk as well as goat milk, I would imagine.

Shannon I think the gal bought liquid rennet on a yogurt making site. Citric acid can be purchased off of
Amazon.

Well, cheese making day has come and gone. My friend found a 30 minute mozerella recipe. It did take a bit longer than that. It was fun and did turn out like cheese. We wrapped the curds and put in fridge to cure or set. I am lactose intolerant so I did not taste, but the gals said it was very good. The recipe had two pages so I am not going to post it, but bet if you do a web search for 30 minutes mozzarella cheese it would pop up. I love learning new processes and want to make some for my hubby. We used whole milk from the store, liquid rennet, citric acid,and sea salt. Oh yea, water too. That was all it called for.
