Hubby recently bought some gate kits to put new gates at the beginning of our driveway. When we went to install them, we realized they were too short. He was quite bummed because it meant he had to start from scratch, and we were left with two gates we didn't need....

...but...

we found a great way to use them! One was cut down to size and used to replace the heavy, steel sidewalk gate that leads to our mailbox. The other became this fun photo spot hanging in our hallway. It's huge - 3 feet by 4 feet, so I have room for tons of pictures. We've lost a lot of family members in the past two and a half years (my father, my younger brother, my mother-in-law, my brother-in-law, and both of my paternal grandparents), so I want my house full of photos of those that I love and miss so very much.

That's a great way to repurpose a fence! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Rachel, this is an amazing idea! You are so clever. I'm sorry to hear of all your loss these last 2 years. It's wonderful to see your family members and keep their memories alive. I hope your new photo gate brings you much joy! Many hugs!
