It's going to be a stormy week here in the Northeast. So I plan on crafting most of the time. What you all have planned for this week? Anything fun?

Put your hair up in a bun, drink some coffee and handle it.

Lori, it is a workout neck scarf I wet and place in the freezer. On those hottest days I tie it around my head like a scarf! I know it messes with my working mama hairdo but you know, its keeps me so cool I don't care!! Take care and drink replenishing liquids as well! It got to 104 plus humidity the other day but I was fine as long as I kept my scarf and hat on and drank!!! Be careful!!

April, good luck on the renewal of your real-estate license. Get some relaxation time in. I know how hard that can be when there is always so much to get done. Take some time for yourself. You deserve it.

Sara, your applique project sounds adorable. There are so many things I want to do and learn. Isn't it exciting? I would love to see a picture when you get it done.

Diana, I know what you mean about having to get things done. I never thought about putting a wet scarf around my neck. I've been working in the barn and it sure can get hot in there. Tomorrow is going to be the hottest day yet and I have a ton of work to get done.

Working outdoors is a DAILY routine here despite the humidity and upper temperatures! I just cloth myself head to toe , hat and a wet scarf and drinks LOTS of fluids! Work won't stop until everything stops growing! But I love it because there are some pretty sweet rewards from being outdoors so much! Namely nature!!! :)

Sara, I have always wanted to visit Texas. I'm very drawn there, I don't know why LOL. The weather here lately is always raining, but one good thing about the rain, we don't have to water our garden of veggies.

Put your hair up in a bun, drink some coffee and handle it.

Summer is here to stay in northeast Texas. Hi humidity is pushes the heat index up to 106-112 most days.

I do a little garden chores before 9 a.m. and then piddle in the house. In between housework I am working on my latest wool applique project a chair pocket with a rabbit and carrots. Will finish appliqueing today and be ready for the backing and strap tomorrow. Will fill the pocket with fabric carrots I need to make.

Busy fingers - Happy me!

Our summer has not been our typical hot and dry summer, we've experienced more humidity on our high desert than I ever remember, cooler temps as well... this week and next, I will be studying my continuing education to renew my real estate license, I waited until the very last minute this year ( unintentionally, of course! ) Besides that, I've been curled up on my chaise lounge on my back patio, reading! This gal is in some desperate need of some R&R!

We've had some storms come through this way. Next week is supposed to be cooler so I am going to enjoy all the outside work I have to get done.
