I wanted to let you all know our sweet farm girl Ruth Yarbrough passed away this morning. Her family posted on facebook this morning the following;

We wish we could tell each and every one in person, but this is the best way to make sure every one that knew her would know. Sweet Ruth Yarbrough went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ this morning at 6 am. She has put up a hard fight for the last six months but she’s now healed on the other side of this life. Heaven has gained it’s newest and sweetest angel. Arrangements are being made and will be posted soon. Thank You all for your thoughts and prayers.

I had the wonderful privilege of meeting Ruth, her hubby David, her son and DIL one summer several years ago. They were actually traveling through to visit the Four Corners and would be in Cortez, Colorado. I told Ruth I lived FIVE MILES from Cortez! We met in town, had coffee and a lovely visit at a local greenhouse/coffee bar. I will cherish that time forever.
Ruth was also one of my most diligent prayer warriors and encouragers! I will truly miss her!
Grateful she is safe in the arms of Jesus!!

My deepest sympathy to her family. Ruth was in my quilt block swaps many years ago. She made the most beautiful blocks. Quite detailed. Will be
sadly missed but lovingly remembered.

I miss you, too, sweet friend... I miss ALL of you... Gonna try to be on a little more often this year. It's hard, but it always feels good to be back "home" for a visit! Love you!

I am heartbroken... Ruthie was one of my dearest farmgirl sisters, and then over the past couple of years, life has gotten insanely overwhelming and I haven't been able to keep touch... (I hate that life has taken over and I miss you all so much!) She sent me a card at Christmas to let me know of her illness... I was overcome with grief and immediately started praying. I wasn't able to call, but truly had hoped to do so this week. My prayers are lifted up for her beloved soul in Heaven and for her family and loved ones who remain behind. I know that she is now watching over every single one of us, rest assured of that. Her profound love certainly surpasses the veil that separates us, and will continue to live on in every heart she has touched. To be sure, in Heaven our dear Ruthie is shining, beautiful and bright! Someone once told me there is a star for every soul in Heaven... Look up girls! Ruthie's is probably one of the newest, most brightly shining up there! And we are truly blessed to have such a wonderful prayer warrior watching over us! God bless you, Ruthie! We WILL see you again one day! Thank you for being such a wonderful farmgirl sister and friend! I love you dearly, and will miss you terribly until we meet again! Hugs and love - Nini

I knew about this the day it happened, but didn’t know if it would be okay to post. I will always remember Ruth as a special Farmgirl friend. When I posted several years ago that my mama had moved to Georgia, and had some health problems and I was worried about her, Ruth messaged me through MJF. She drove over an hour to check on my mama, and they became friends. My mom, her husband, and Ruth and her husband got together several times. I will always remember Ruth making friends out of strangers, and doing nice things for others. The last message I got from her was “Hugs, sweet Girl!” Such a wonderful lady, so talented and nice. She will be missed.

For those of you not on Face Book, here is the picture her family posted.
She was a true, Kind farmgirl! She was on Face Book so we got to see pictures of her travels to her hometown in Mass. It brought much peace to her to be able to go back twice since October. She lived in Georgia now. Now she lives in Heaven!! With no suffering!!

I will miss Sweet Ruth so much. I had the honor of meeting her twice as well as her husband David and sister. She is just as lovely and kind in person as she was on MaryJanes. She is my Angel now, I love you Ruth.
