At last--we finally have snow here in Idaho! The grand-girls made a couple of snow-folk at the farm and it makes me want to do the same! Hope you're all taking care and staying healthy out there. Here's to the first Mail Art of the new year!

If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art to read our guidelines.

FOR JANUARY Mail Art, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to join in. Sign-up is available through DECEMBER 30th. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.

The theme for this month is "Winter Joy". Most of my past winters were spent wishing it were spring or summer. However, that really doesn't allow you to appreciate the wonderful qualities that winter can bring, and lessons it can teach us. So, whether you're thankful for the snow, the extra sleep, warm fires, or egg nog, let's make some art about it! And if you're wanting to take your own road with the January theme, go for it!

I will send an email with your partner to you on DECEMBER 31st. Please send your Mail Art before JANUARY 31st. And be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination.

Please post a comment on this thread once you receive your mail art to let your sender know you've received their art. If you can add a picture, that's always nice too!

If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to send me an email. I'm always happy to help out in any way I can.

Happy Arting and warmest farmgal wishes,

~Cydnie

Kathy - I have you and I have sent yours with two of your Swaps I had you for - Winter Pincushion and Scrap Happy! My Daughter took it to the Post for me this past Sat. You should have it by the end of the week I believe she said. Sorry for the delay - I was sending all 3 together.

The little red hen asked her friends, "Who will help me plant the seeds ?" "Not I," barked the lazy dog . "Not I," purred the sleepy cat . "Not I," quacked the noisy yellow duck . "Then I will," said the little red hen .

Vicki -

I received the Scarf! It is BEAUTIFUL! So Thoughtful of you! You did an amazing job on it! I wish my daughter was here so she could help me figure out how to take a picture and post it. When she is here next time I will have her help me post a picture. My to favorite colors are greens and purples! I have been wearing it out on our freezing cold Upstate NY Mornings to feed my Chickens and get the eggs in the afternoon and give the ladies their treats!

Thank you for being so thoughtful!

Glad you received it, and liked it, I was afraid it was lost in the mail. It seems to take a longer time then it use to. Good old Virus I am sure the will blame!

Hello Linda and a big, warm welcome!

For more specific details about mail are you can visit this link: click here.

Otherwise, Dianna did an excellent job of explaining it--thank you Dianna! Linda, you picked a great time to hop on because today we're starting our next round of Mail Art! Over in these parts, we send out partners every other month to keep it staggered. It's also very much like Secret Santa such that the partner you're sending to is likely not who will be sending to you--we do it like this just in case we have an odd number of participants. Also, keeping it anonymous until the recipient posts a picture adds to the extra charm.

I'll be posting the new Mail Art Topic later today so please check back in, the more the merrier and we're happy to have you join us. :)

Welcome to MaryJanes Linda!! You really have 10 grandkids? Qowser, how blessed are you!!! :) Cydnie hosts the Mail Art swap, we are given a farmsister who has joined the swap in 'secret', so we surprise each other with a little piece of art we've created. Doesnt have to be big or extravagant. Just something to fit the theme of the month. Its pretty much explained. Just don't let the person you are creating it for know until she receives it. :) kind of like a secret sister thing. Hopefully I have explained it well enough. Cydnie is our hostess if you have any question shoot her a quick email. Again, welcome, so happy to have you join in!!

I received my mail art from Patsy! Omagosh, its WONDERFUL Patsy!! I adore the neck scarf and will definitely use it on what chilly days we have left! Loved the gnome art, the bag full of scrumptious drinking goodies too although Sara ran off with my Starbucks coffee, lol! Thank you so very much! I just live it!!
