Thankfully, I had stockpiled several critical cleaning supplies during Coronamadness. I just ran out of the no scrub "Clean Shower" which I really like because my "physical inconveniences" make playing with the squeegee really difficult. I found this recipe online which sounds quite potent. Engineer DH is telling me that part of the ingredients are used in rocket fuel and it might be very toxic. Has anyone tried this or come up with something else?

Shower Cleaner
1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup rubbing alcohol
1 teaspoon liquid dish soap
1 tablespoon dishwasher rinse aid
3 cups water

Also aggravation to be eternally off the shelves is Tide with Bleach. But I can work around that one.

I fill a spray bottle with 50-50 vinegar and water. It is my all-purpose spray for cleaning everything except the cats.

Ooh Flylady! I forgot about her. That recipe does sound better for glass.
The Miracle Cleanser has worked really well in shower surround and stove/sink etc

OKK just back from the shower and I tried it. A bit of alcohol odor, but not strong at all. Sprayed all over the glass doors and walked out of the shower. Dried quite nicely and basically streak free. I like that.
DH does squeegee after he showers, so I bet it will look even better then. But basically I am pleased with the results. But Lisa your Miracle Cleanser does sound terrific. I'll have to give that one a try. I've basically used the Flylady recipe for years with good results for general cleaning -- 1/3 alcohol, 1/3 ammonia (I use lemon scented), 1/3 water. Works good on everything including windows.

Jean, I don't know about the cleanser recipe you listed but maybe? heed hubby's advise???
I got this recipe off of Prudent Homemakers website (one of her viewers posted). I have had good luck with it, and the eucalyptus oil gives it an antiseptic quality.
I think the washing soda helps quite a bit.
Miracle Cleanser
Makes 1/2 gallon
1 cup boiling water
Additional 5 1/2 cups water
2 T washing soda
1 1/3 cup vinegar
1/4 cup Dawn
5 t eucalyptus oil (in my opinion, this is WAY too much, I only use 1 t and it is still plenty)
Dissolve washing soda in boiling water, add other ingredients.
Store in spray bottle.
Seems to cut through quite a bit, not great for windows due to the oil.

I use vinegar and dish soap as a shower cleaner. Mix in a spray bottle and spray on. Let sit for a while and then scrub. I don't remember the measurements exactly, but I found it on pinterest. Little less dish soap and more vinegar. Last time I made it I did 50/50 and it seemed pretty thick to spray.
