I feel so blessed to be living here. The farm in the background is my neighbor who has 50 acres and they have cows. It is so awesome to hear the cows mooing but it freaks my dogs out LOL. I love watching the sun come up over the mountain in the morning. Mountains and rolling hills surround us. We are minutes from the Mass and Vt borders. Everything is so beautiful.

This is my greenhouse, recently finished, its a modest 8 x 20 but all I needed for now. We are also preparing the outdoor beds for vegetables. I started my vegetable plants indoors. It's a beautiful morning here, it inspires poetry.

In the greenhouse I've planted various greens and carrots. More to be added. So far in the yard I've planted onions, asparagus, strawberries and a hardy fig tree. We already have two apple trees in the yard, with a couple more to plant including a blueberry bush, several raspberry plants, among others. There's a lot more planting to do. This is my favorite time of the year.

Love your greenhouse! You are very blessed to live in such a beautiful area. NY is one of my favorite states, my husband lived in Woodstock when he came to this country in '75. I always dreamed of having a greenhouse, but living in a townhouse makes it just that, only a dream.

Best of luck growing plants year round. Please share pictures when you can.

Connie,

Glad to hear your have herb plant babies. I am really into herbal medicine, so the greenhouse is a must for me. Plus living in Wyoming at almost 7000', it is a must. I really can't wait to eat one of those home grown tomatoes.

Connie,

It is still a little early to plant much in the greenhouse here. We have some radishes, spinach, and some microgreens. I have Sage coming up from last year, which is cool. This week will be planting our Early Girl tomatoes, Peppers, and lots of other herbs.

It sure does feel like heaven. Lisa the moment we drove away from that other house a huge weight lifted. It felt so wonderful to get away from it. Each time I go outside and look around I just keep telling myself and my husband how lucky we are to be here. Today I caught the aroma of the apple blossoms, I was just standing under the tree taking it in, and it is wonderful.

Dianna the dogs are funny. We also have heard the coyotes during mating season, so the dogs have experienced some new sounds and their reactions have been hysterical.

Sherone, what are you growing in your greenhouse?
