The perfect letter doesn't mean you need to have flawless handwriting, or matching stationary. What makes a letter so wonderful is the warmth and energy that radiates to the reader when it is opened. A letter can spark a connection from the moment it is opened and it can live on to become a cherished memory looked at fondly time and time again. You never know the impact that you can make in someone's life, use you pen to make someone feel joy, hope and love.
I wanted to say thank you to those special farmgirls out there who have been sharing correspondence with me this year. I understand that it's not always easy to post mail internationally and COVID interruptions have cast a while new meaning on the term "snail mail", but please know that I get pretty excited when your letters arrive in the mail box. There is a little celebration that happens out at the road side. Your letters are totally worth the wait. I wish you all a blessed Christmas season and look forward to continuing our letter writing in 2022.

T hat is a good thing. Written is good for your brain too! If it wasn’t for the internet I wouldn’t have found MaryJanesFarm and all of you so it is good both ways.
You all have been great to know, so awesome to have special ones to talk too and make good friends with. I do love you all.

Thank you!

I do love letters too. They don't have to be long, they can be a postcard, but the importance to me is that the person took the time to send real mail and I appreciate that a lot. My Mother was a big letter writer and kept several PenPals all of her life. When the computer became the main source of contacting people, I also did that way as well. But when I got to MJF, I realized that others were sending real mail and I loved getting Farmgirl mail better. So, I renewed by writing of real letters or cards again. I know how much I love getting real mail and I hope that when I send written notes the receiver enjoys it too.

Love getting and writing letters. I have a farm girl penpals that has been writing to me for years. I get behind at times but she's still faithful in writing me. I also have family I write to often. Somehow it's so comforting to know others are thinking of us.

DITTO Cindy and April!! I so love letter writing! I have a friend in California and we've been snail mailing for over 35 years!! My children and her children were the same age and going to school together before they pcs'd finally to California. I've several more I enjoy writing to and even try to keep up with the penpal lust Amanda has put out. During the summer my time is limited with Sara home and the garden going but come fall and winter I start catching up. In fact, April, there is one on the way to you as I write!! ;)
