Hey Farmgirls

Well after looking at and hearing about all of these wonderful trailers (and doing major drooling)and seeing the new MJ Outpost book....I was wondering who would be interested in having a blogging/online event to share your ideal dream trailer (picture in a magazine or the internet)...or if you have a picture of one of your own, that would be great too. We will be star/bird watching, moongazing and hiking through the woods....or anything else you would like to do durring our blog "gathering".

We will share our favorite stories/songs, campfire goodies, etc.

**The Jubilee will be a weekend event...if you don't have a blog or website, you can still join us in the fun...just post in the thread that I will start when it is time for our online event, and you would just upload the banner into your signature line**

Who wants to join me for smores and camping fun Farmgirl style? I am thinking we can start a weekend here very soon...would that be great?

Katmom - loved your blog! Twinkie is perfect name the inside is so cute. Hubby and I are going out for a week up the WA coast. We're driving my Van and camping in it - we've tried it locally a few times and it's much easier than tent camping so I'm realing him into trailer life slow but sure. He wants to check out places to retire or to slow down our life now that a empty nest is coming upon us. I can't wait!

Oooo Ooooo please count me in too!! I am in such a need for a vacation...virtual or real...

I am hoping to have a trailer by next week since my "free trailer" turned out to be too damaged to transport...

They have been delaying my house closing and that will allow me the funds to purchase my dream cowgirl travel trailer...please keep your fingers crossed that it will happen tomorrow...my kids and I need a break!!!

Yee Haw, I'm ready for a campout

We just returned from our maiden trip with our '63 Winnibago travel trailer. The cushions and curtains that I was sewing weren't quite done by the time we left, but my husband had sripped and refinished all of the interior wood - and the kids had FUN - which is the most important part. I'll post photos soon. It was a perfect first trip out. I was so excited to see the awning. We hadn't dared open it before this trip (the zipper needs work). It was perfect - black and white striped!!!!

I think that the jubilee would be fun - but don't blog. We will actually be camping along Lake MI that weekend too!

Grace - Loved your blog - and a lavender farm - perfectly dreamy.

Hey Cindy,
mine is still in a state of confussion, as it doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up! lol! but yes, on my blog there are a couple of pic's. It still needs an exterior paint job & graphics...as for the inside, still collection mid century modern stuff.
Check out both vintage housewife's (above) blog as well as MaryJane Lee~ beehive cottage's blog for pic's of their trailers.
it's real addicting....and with vintage trailers their are always repairs to be made....

check out " T@b " or google Tab trailers....

we have a dealership over in Airway Heights (WA) and they sell those retro tear drop type trailers, but they are a bit pricey,,,$15-17K depending on the goodies package.
Cute none the less, and several of the gals that are members of Sisters on the Fly have those retro trailers.
Mine is a 76 Scamp fiber glass which is 13' and only weights 1000 lbs (dry weight). So easy to tow w/my 6 cly. Jeep.
Circle-up ladies!

I love this I don't have a trailer yet but I check out Craig'slist all the time. I'd love to join you but I don't have a blog either so can I play here. It's been a camping summer for me and hubby is catching the bug. I think our empty nest might have wheels. I just got back from camping in Maupin,Oregon sleeping under the stars and doing a little rafting.Another adventure sounds wonderful.
blessings to you all,

Check out www.trailerworks.biz and www.retrotraveler.com

One site is for restored trailers. The other for new teardrop and similar types of trailers. Same company.

Hi Phyllis,

I am not aware of vintage replicas for sale, yet anyway. I am working on an online "Camping party" where we will show off pictures of campers that we dream of having....so sorry for any mix up...Renee was just telling me of what she saw in her area....maybe she knows who to contact on how to get the trailers.

Hey Renee, no beehive hairdo needed, tho an idea
