Laura, hope you post pics and tell us how everything went and what you all did. I would like to have some kind of get together here to introduce new farmgirls to our chapter but am not sure what to do. Would love to hear all about yours. Wish I lived closer too. Have fun.

Hi,

If you can get yourself to Carthage, MO, you should have no trouble finding friendly folks who can direct you to Red Oak II.

Basically, from Hwy 71, you follow Central (96 Hwy) through Carthage, past Kellogg Lake, and watch for the Big Red Oak Sign on the left.
Turn left and follow the signs.

The address for Red Oak II is:

Red Oak II
County Loop 122, MO 64836

I highly recommend that you plug this address into Map Quest, www.mapquest.com, to get directions from your place to Red Oak II.

I was asked how to get there from Kansas City. I would take 71 South all the way to Carthage.

I'm not all that great with giving directions; so, I think you'd be much better off to leave it to the experts!

Blessings,
Laura

I sure wish I lived closer cuz I'd be there for sure. It sounds like such fun. I hope ya'll have a great time and it's very good weather and tons of people show up. I can't wait to hear how it turned out and will look forward to seeing lots of great pictures!

We have something like that here. It's kind of primitive with soap making and blacksmiths and all sorts of old timey demonstrations. I want to go this year. It's right up the road from here.

Laura, my DH just saw a flier for this at the Casey's in Pierce City. He wasn't sure if I knew about it or not so he made sure to tell me. :)

Yes,
I too am very excited. And plan to bring my granddaughters if they are available at that time. I know they would love it, especially the soap making.
Thanks,
Sheri

I'm so excited about this! I've already circulated the information to my group of friends and my family. We've already got at least 5 ladies who want to attend. Hoping to get the word out to more people, hopefully there will be a fantastic turn out. Thanks so much for posting this Laura!
