Please, please pray for my neighbor. Her sister had a very rough life. She was in the habit of making very bad choices. Recently, she made a decision to turn things around. She has to children by a dead beet dad that never helped, visited, or paid CS. Three weeks ago, the great new man in her life, asked her to marry him. He was helping get her life in order. Things were looking up! Last Thursday, at 38 years of age, she went to sleep, and never woke up. Her children found her, 6 hours after she passed. They do not know why she died!
Saturday, at the memorial, the children's father showed up, claiming he was taking the kids, NOW. They don't even know him. So much shock and pain running through this family. Please keep the whole of them in your prayers, especially lifting up her little ones. Thank you so much. They really need the comfort only God's loving arms can give right now.

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

My prayers go out to the family - especially the children. Carole is absolutely right - contact a lawyer.

I agree with Prariehawk. Contact a lawyer! Yes, that is costly but at least the family would have legal representation. Life can really be rought at times! My prayers go out to the family!

Cindy,
Thanks. The father wasn't even around to sign the first birth certificate!! It is outrageous! I do not believe he will get these kids, my neighbor has 5 of her own, but the grandmother is trying to take then. My neighbours father, the kids grandpa, just passed away from cancer the week before Christmas. The loss in this family is unthinkable! Thank you so much for the advice. I will pass it on.

Something similar to this happened to a friend of my cousin's--the father, who was not involved in the kids' lives, came to take them away. My cousin is studying criminal justice and she helped the family get the kids back. The father may NOT have any legal rights. So sad that your neighbor's sister died, but especially if the father hasn't enrolled them in school yet, he may not have any rights. I would suggest your neighbors contact a lawyer.

Oh, Annette... I don't even have the words. I can't imagine what everyone is going through. I will pray and be praying. Warm hugs - Nini
