I guess Alee (and Nora!) and I started something a while back with sitting out on my porch. No, I don't have one yet, but it is my dream. The porch thing recently got picked back up in my post on needing to be flogged, and several others have since joined us. So, I thought I would offer an invitation to all you farmgirls to come sit and relax on my virtual porch, visit, and just let all your cares and worries slide off your shoulders. Anyone else want to join us? So far, we have Alee and Nora napping in rocking chairs; Melody June is the one who has her feet propped up and listening to Jolie Blond (some GREAT Cajun Music!); Audry brought that tray of the gorgeous cucumber sandwiches; Diane brought sweet tea and vodka; Toni brought apple and cherry pies and is sitting on the porch keeping the dogs down (and we made a pitcher of unsweet tea just for her, but I'll bet she'll share!) Ladies, all are welcome, and there are still plenty of rockers and porch swings left. And I'll bet Toni will move over a bit and let you share her step! Come join us! Hey, Alee! Wanna wake up long enough to get a bite of this cherry pie? Ooh! It is so delicious!

Evening My Porchies...
Still no baby...I sent him his 3 day comply eviction notice tonight via his daddy. LOL 
Judy...so glad that your sissy came to give you moral support. I am so sorry that your Mama is still in pain. And we are all praying for that appt. on Friday.
My Beetle Bug Sassy has not run for about 2 months. She has some kind of radiator problem that hubby thinks is going to be about 1,000 to fix (if what he thinks is wrong with it...is actually the problem). We have had two apptmnts to take it in to be
looked at...but each time DH has ended up in the hospital. The problem is...it won't start either.
This bug seems to have a problem with Batteries. It has been replaced twice in a year and now needs replaced again.
Then with all the extra costs of the baby coming...Sassy
Bug got sat on the back burner yet again.
We went and had a consultation with the surgeon tonight on Snickers Surgery. We have it scheduled for July 9th. They want $5oo. at the time of surgery and then the rest in $250.00 checks every 30 days until it is paid off. At least they were willing to work with us. Wouldn't it be nice if money really did grow on trees? 
Bunny...that is a very wise way to pray about that job.
I did the same thing when I wanted to be the Gift Buyer for 16 Christian Book Stores...and I knew I could do the job...but my gut instinct was that maybe I shouldn't even apply for it...because the stress level was so super high...and I have never been a Corporate Employee Kind Of Gal. I work better being the Boss.
Anyway...I didn't get the job and I was disappointed but knew God had a reason. That was 6 months before I found out I had Fybro/Chronic Fatigue & Arthritis and began struggling just being a Manager at that point and time.
6 months after that...I had gotten so physically bad that I had to quit my job and ultimately go on SS Disability. So, God does honor our prayers...and If you aren't meant to get that job for what ever reason you wont. IF you do get it...It means God will equip you to do it.
Terri...yeah, pooh on "Separation of church and State".
When the rubber meets the Road...it is all about God!!! It wasn't the State that was going to save them from That Storm.
Teacher Tammy...wow girl, you are one busy gal...shampooing all those carpets. Whew...makes me tired just thinking about it.
Didn't you have a Kindle E-reader? How do you like the Nook? I have a friend whose husband just bought her the Kindle Fire HD and I was checking it out last week...and I think I drooled all over it before I gave it back to her. It was so Nice. Hope you like your Nook, I have friends that really like theirs.
Well...I am like Judy, I am all tuckered out. I did major grocery shopping this morning and then came home and prepped food for 2 hrs. Then had the meeting with the Vet and then came home and made dinner and watched a few TV shows and knit. Now...my bed is calling my name.
More tomorrow lovely ladies.

Hi everyone!
My sister is the "TeaSwap-TeaBag" for May. She knows that, but she has been up here giving me moral support. She said that she just had to get to me, that she knew just how stressed I've been. Her SIL was coming up here from Florida, and swung by and got her. So I had her all to myself for 3 whole days. She left this evening. She sat with Mama yesterday while hubby and I went to the dentist. Then he drove me past the Oncologist office that I have to take Mama to on Friday. Mama is really in bad shape. Taking hard-core meds and OTC's in between and still in pain and swollen. I sure hope the doctor can find and fix her problem and not just put a band-aide on it(as sis says). This has to be relieved.
So sorry to see all the problems and stresses on here. Praying for those devastated by those storms.

Tammy, the job posted today and the college career coordinator is helping me with my resume. My friend gave me her daughter's number (she has the job now) so I could call her and get more information. I have been praying about it and my prayer is essentially "don't give me the job if I can't do it". I am trusting that God will only put me there if it is truly something I can do both mentally and physically. I'll be OK if it does't come through. I'll just know God has another plan in line.

Mary Beth reported that everything is ok with them and they were prepared to camp out for a while.

I so agree with you about prayer. No one, I mean no one, complained about "separation of church and state" when it was reported that the teachers and kids were praying during the storm. What a shame that it takes a tragedy to get prayer in the news and on TV.

Hello girls,
I thought I would come in and sit. I shampooed carpets in four rooms today. I still have two left..but ran out of cleaner and decided that was a sign I was to sit.
Peggy that bassinet is so darn cute. Praying that baby comes soon.

Shanda glad you checked in I was thinking of you. I was so touched to the heart as I watched the teachers pray and protect their students. Prayer should be in all schools..oh I digress it is a bit of an issue with me can you tell
Judy where are you hiding out...don't make me put my hands on my hips and fly after you. You know I tend to make an entrance...hope all is well.
well I am off to sit in my chair and have tea and read. my dear hubby got me a nook tablet for mother's day and I have been enjoying just learning how to use it. I believe it will come in handy in my classroom as well.

Bunny...Oh my goodness girl...wouldn't you love to move back to California...closer to your boys and everything?
Wow...I am praying for you. I love to try different types of tea. So I am open to anything different.
Teacher Tammy...glad that you girls got it straightened out about who had which Tea Month. LOl Did we get tea for May?
It has been such a crazy month around here that I don't even remember? *brain freeze*
Cherime...I think we are going backwards in our weather. We skipped Spring and went right into Summer Weather and now
it has gone back to Winter Weather. Cold Wet and Miserable. I thought I was going to drowned today! Nothing worse than
cold rain...that seeps into your bones and muscles.
Shanda...so glad to hear that you guys are OK. I watched The Special on Moore tonight and it is a Miracle that more people
were not killed. They had told us on our NW News that there had been 91 killed and then tonight revised it 24. I loved
hearing the Teachers say that they were praying out loud for their students not to be harmed. Yeah...just try taking prayer
out of school....it's there when it counts the most. And when you look at those two schools...you know God answered those
prayers. They looked like no one should have gotten out alive. Praise God for those teachers using their own bodies to
shelter those children. Amazing!
Well...I called my youngest son and dil tonight and told them that if Elijah wasn't born tomorrow (His due date)...that I
was sending him and eviction notice. They both laughed...being in property management...they thought it was a cute statement.
 
See, I am all ready for him. I got this cute bassinet yesterday for him. Got it at a resale store for $30.00. Washed it all yesterday
and then put it back together last night. It is nice that it is small...so it doesn't take up much room in my bedroom.
OK...please pray for our dog Snickers. He is in so much pain from his hip. We go to the Vet who will do the Surgery tomorrow...for a surgery consult. I do not know where we are going to come up with the money...I am trusting God on this. I never heard back from the Organization called Angels of Animals. I guess I need to dig a little deeper for help. We are thinking about selling the VW to pay
for the surgery. But first we have to get that fixed.

Hello, just checking in. Were are hopefully at the tail end of these storms. No damage to my family homes, but lots of limbs and small trees down. Our roads are flooded, so we'll be stuck for abit. A house down the road had a tree come down on it, and it's knocked out the electricity for a while now. Our fire dept. has been there and everyone got out safe. We've had to take cover a few times because of funnel clouds, but nothing close to what Moore had. (praying for them, we have church family who have loved ones there who lost homes) Lots of high wind, rain and hail.
Thank goodness for propane stoves and generators!

Terri, I'm afraid if I pull this off I will be in Northern California. I'm from Sonora and the job is in Chinese Camp. I will be closer to another one of my farmgirl pals that just moved over the hill from where I hope to be. I just have to get an interview first!
