Love those aprons, Kathryn! Cherries are my very favorite and I think it is time for me to get cracking at the sewing machine. You have inspired me!

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

Anita your aprons are really beautiful, the fabric is lovely, especially those dainty little butterflies!
Cindy that looks like alot of fun,so good to see kids still getting outdoors and enjoying it.
I've been working on sewing some aprons from that cherry print fabric I ordered, all was going well until my machine's bobbin case went awry, tried to fix it but couldn't so looks like a trip to the sewing machine repairman *sigh* and I was having so much fun making them,I got three done though before my machine gave out on me

Quick correction - I need to say I ran that Girl Scout event but had a great committee with which to work!

A whopping four straight (sort of) seams, but I made semaphore flags as an "extra activity" for a Girl Scout campout for 185 people I volunteered to run last weekend. Months of prep and planning, but it was well worth it to see LOTS of happy faces and suburban kids showing their parents they really do love to be outdoors on something other than a soccer field.

Here are two of the little scouts doing what I called "ancient texting". One who got frustrated signaling her name announced it was "hard enough to learn to spell when you don't have to act it out". I love the mind of a seven year old : )

After being so disappointed in finding a hole in a dress I was going to sell for extra money I decided to make two aprons out of it. Really pretty vintage cotton from the seventies, I think it'll make adorable aprons, so all is not lost. I really like the butterflies :-)

I'm working on homework tonight but my quilt is calling me and my sewing machine thinks I don't love it anymore

God bless,

Beautiful booties, Kathryn! Its been too rainy here to even consider getting out in the garden.
