For my birthday this year, my darling, creative best friend gave me a little ticket tucked inside of a pink gingham bag that she embroidered the message "for you" on. The ticket read "This ticket entitles you to one Day on the Town, complete with antique shopping, a trip to MaryJane's Farm store, a picnic, and anything else you wish!
Snuggled next to the ticket was a gift certificate to the MaryJane's Farm shop. The stage was set for an epic, sublime, project DOTT.

Dresses were sewn for the occasion, (everyone else thought mine was simply this year's 4-H project, but I knew better;) matching millinery concocted, hair coiffed, and hamper stowed. (Stowing a picnic hamper is the most romantically whimsical activity. You should try it.) =)

We had the most wonderful day. MaryJane's little shop in downtown Coeur d' Alene, Idaho is just such a fun place! Here are my friend and I, all dressed up for a Day on the Town in MaryJane's store.

I have several more pictures on my blog:

Who else has visited this lovely spot? What was your favorite part? Do share!

Thanks so much for all of the sweet comments! I am incredibly blessed to have MaryJane's shop so close to home... I wish you could all visit=)
Patsy, that is perfectly lovely! I'm so glad you were able to hear about our DOTT, after all - isn't the Internet great? We would have loved to chat, though. I'll have to come back soon:) Oh, and Debbie, I didn't end up using my gift certificate for that very reason - I wanted an excuse to come back and browse some more...

Well, aren't you two just the CUTEST!!! HOW FUN!!!

I had the wonderful privilege of visiting . . and shopping . . at MJs Store in Coeur d'Alene with my daughter, Wende and Diane when we were on the Farmgirls on the Loose Road trip. We had the best time . . and that was after we had a good old-fashioned burger across the street at Hudson's Hamburgers.

We live so very, very, very far-r-r-r- away!
Lucky you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Happy Birthday Kellie! What a very special friend you have indeed, what beautiful farmgirls you are, and you both look so happy and like you were having so much fun. So, what did you buy with your gift certificate from Mary Janes? I love too that you did this particular picture in black and white, hard to believe from the photo that it is 2011. Thank you so much for sharing, I truly enjoyed the post and pictures.
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie
