I put my tomato seedlings outside this morning to acclimate them, but I forgot to give them a drink first. I came home this afternoon to the most pathetic, droopy, shriveled tomato plants I've ever seen. So I gave them a good long drink and about fifteen minutes later they were much happier. I still take them in at night. Tomorrow I'm not going to put them in direct sun. I hope they'll be happy.

Oh Cindy, Ihave done that so many times, too. Chuck 'em and start again. you still have time. Or do what I do ... buy the plants and keep your mouth shut!

I agree with Michele, easy does it. I would put a oscillating fan on my tomatoes and other plants that I grew seed for about a month before moving them outside.

It is best to introduce them slowly to direct sun and wind. Gradually increasing their time outside. They do dry out fast outside. good luck with them.
