I haven't made this in years, but it is completely worth the effort to have this dense and rich confection to serve with wine or coffee. It's from early medieval times and has a wonderful history. Very nice! Here is a good recipe for it since I seem to have misplaced the one that I had

sounds heavenly!!! I love my sweets but the sugar in this makes me shy away (I've had gastric bypass).

It's very dense and chewy (Not to be tackled lightly with dentures my father says ) I personally love it with a steaming cup of either good black tea or spiced tea. I hope that you like it!
