Here is another fun topic that I am interested in knowing about my farm girl sisters.

I own a Yorkie and a Siamese cat. In the past we have owned fish, rabbits and a love bird. When I was a kid we owned horses, chickens, rabbits, dogs and one cat. Cats were never our favorite with all the hunting dogs my Dad owned, it would have been a bad mix to bring a cat around.

So, tell me what do you own now and what have you owned in the past!

Thanks!

I love all the pets everyone has! I used to have a horse (retired trotter), duck, and German Shepherd/Chow mix. Names were Tucker, Duckie, and Shasta. Now I have a rescue dog named Riley. He's a mix of German Shepherd and Norwegian Elkhound. He's so affectionate and cute! He has the markings of a Shepherd, but a curly tail and not quite as large. He's my buddy! I miss my horse and my Shasta a lot. Sweeties both.

Becky I adore Beagles too. We owned the sweetest little guy when I was a teenager. He loved to sniff out scents and howl through the woods.
Ruth you have a little farm of your own going.
Linda Gunny sounds like a sweetheart. Hope he lives a long time.
Mimmzie Helga and Trueman are great names for a cat and dog.

We have three cats. I'm a surrogate cat mom for one of them. My daughter moved out of our house and I got to keep the kitty!! We have an aussie and a mutt. We also have 20 hens of various sizes and breeds, but they mostly get along:)

We love our babies.

I have always wanted a beagle puppy and after my sweet little doggy girl Bella passed on , my heart was broken, so my husband bought me a sweet little fat beagle puppy. We named her Dixie and she is an atom bomb of energy and love. She bays at almost everything. We love it! Just what an old country grandma needs.

My sister's friend is a cat lover and owns 3 cats despite having 3 kids in the family already. Recently, her cat gave birth to 3 more kittens and I adopted 1 of them! It is so exciting to own a pet myself, because I have never owned one before!! Hope everything goes well :)

Oh my Dayln and.Betty. I love Nubians!! We have a small herd of Nubian goats for which we make cheese, soap, and lotions. We also have lots of chickens and sell the eggs locally to our Chicago tourists. They love to visit our farm. We also have pugs for a few months a year, lots of barn cats, 2 Great Danes and 2 labs. We love them all as our large family.

Debbie it looks like your little fur-baby is enjoying her basket of toys. Just like a kid she doesn't put them back. lol

Lori, animals are such a comfort and a great addition to the family. If I lived on a bigger piece of property I would have more too.

My husband and I have rescued animals for several years now. We now have seven dogs and three cats. They are all an important part of our family. We even buy them Christmas presents every year. It's hard to imagine what life would be like without our little furry friends.

I love seeing everyones fur babies and other animals!! This is my Abbey! She is a 1 1/2 year old black and silver schnauzer full of energy!! I lost my two 14 year old schnauzer 2 years ago, Maycee and Ginger. Miss them everyday but I am sure enjoying this girl!! She is in need of a haircut but I love her soft curly hair! She is a mess and keeps me company since my nest is empty now.

My husband and I have 3 dogs. A 13 year old Pug named Billy and two brothers that are 2 1/2 years old. The brothers are half Mastiff and half St Bernard, commonly known as St. Bermastiff's. Zeus is brindle in color but resembles the St. Bernard which he gets from his mother who was a full St. Bernard and Titan who is a dark fawn color which resembles his father who was full blooded mastiff. They sure are gentle giants - approximately 200 pounds apiece!
