As a country girl, I admit that half of the time I don't look that fashionable! Or at least what most people consider fashionable. After all, who decides? Can't jean and rubber boots be beautiful, too? However, I do enjoy coming up with outfit ideas to wear to work, church, or special events. Today I went out to lunch with my mother and grandmother as a belated Mother's Day celebration so it gave me the perfect opportunity to try one of my new outfit ideas. I already had the clothes, just did some remixing.

I would love to see what your outfit ideas are!

Jeans that are about to bust out just above the knees . . . I hate it when comfy jeans wear out! Long-sleeved t-shirt as it's still chilly around here. Have just come in from working on cleaning out my flowerbeds and rock gardens, now that the MOUNTAINS of snow have melted and I can actually see the ground again. Things are drying up and warmer weather makes it good for starting some spring yard work, however, there will be NO planting of things yet . . . not till May!

My usual uniform, jeans and a t-shirt :)

I'm also happy to say that I can wear a light spring jacket this week, the temperatures up here have been very spring like it's +4 today (so that would be 39.2 for Americans), anyway it's springlike and melting.

I'm in what I in everyday unless I am going out. Maxie t-shirt dress. When QVC ran a sell on them a couple of years ago I bought 4. I layer them when it's cold and they are perfect for the summer. It's time to start looking for new ones.

Marie, your look is cool! I got dressed too early in the morning! Went out to rake the back yard, and water a few dead plants! Completely forgot to redress for church. What a sight!

Today is a "nothing is going right" day. I only have one pair of very patched jeans and they are dirty because I sat on a pee spot on the couch. My leggings are no where to be found. I am a city girl and have no where to go today. So, this is my look . . .

I'll have to go to Savers and find at least two pairs of jeans sometime . . . when there is time and money at the same moment.

Thanks BOnnie

I need some new overalls I have totally worn out the ones I have but it is fun to girly up in them. My husband rolled his eyes when I wore them. ha ha ha Well, I had on a pretty shirt, and rolled pant leg up just enough to show off the lace ruffled socks and bow in my hair. or a nice farm girl hat ha
Farm girls are the best at fashion I think. I don't want to be like all the city girls around here. I like being "me"

I loved the photo of dandee rose working in her pretty apron!!

Love skirts I like ruffly ones the most. LOVE my frilly bloomers! and got to have cowboy boots or my going outback to do chores shoes forget what they are called but they are pretty. husband thought I was nuts getting them instead of plain old mud boots.. hey...I can look pretty doing chores and stomping in mud. ha tried to upload a photo but somehow not going.
today?
is a jeans and kangaroo t-shirt day. I am due to make more aprons -cant have too many. LOVE my aprons! wear them with everything.

I just ordered a Simplicity pattern and will be making some Frocks to wear around the farm this Spring and Summer. It looks like they will be cool and comfortable to wear. I can't wait to make one. Farmgirl sister Christine

Today I'm wearing a dress over jeans and a sweater. Nowadays I wear what I like and what I don't mind getting dirty in the garden, cleaning the chicken coop or playing with my grandson. I do have a few more conservative outfits if need be, which is hardly ever being the homebody that I am!

Pajama Pants under my nightgown and slippers. It's cold today and I'm feeling lazy. Made a loaf of bread, did laundry and finished my February Cards for a swap. Nice to stay in jammies all day sometimes :)

Just found this post and had to smile. As girls we always seem to care what we are wearing be it jeans/t shirts/ sweatshirts or dresser clothes. No matter our age ... and I am no exception. Got dressed for church in a wool skirt/cable sweater/tights and boots but hubby ended up getting sick so I changed into a long jean skirt/sweatshirt/tights and slippers.

I love your look! I need some more "prairie skirts" like that. I usually wear leggings, jeans, jeggings... And a Cardigan or my granny sweater over a T-shirt, over a cami. Always. Comfort is my main concern.

It's capris, blue and white striped tee, and Birkenstocks for me. Hair is up in a crazy bun! Wearing a zip up grey hoodie because it is cold in the man controlled thermostat of an office!

Today it's yoga pants and a tee for me. I'm going to physical therapy and they'll be yanking on my leg and stuff. I found a pair of linen Capri pants at the thrift store and find them to be the perfect summer pants for regular days. I like them so much I'm going to try to make a pattern from them. Linen is great when it's hot!

Happy Day!

Joanna, you look lovely and I think very fashionable for girls lunch date!

Alicia, love the apron in the garden. I should do that more myself!

Today, I'm wearing knee length pants and tank top . . . it's summer and I'm going to town for errands. Pretty much what is worn in this community . . . in town . . . on a summer day!
