Any other mamas of toddlers, especially stay at home mamas? We're having one of those days around here. The dishes are piling up, the laundry hasn't been folded all weekend...don't even look at my floors, please. My little guy needs mama today...every minute. Can I get some cheers for nap time?

Wow Jana! 35 minute naps are crazy short. Way to go staying strong! I agree with how fast it goes. Seems like yesterday I brought my baby home from the hospital and in just 3 short months he will be a year. He learns to much to fast and I feel like I already miss so much. They shouldn't be allowed to grow so fast! I'm love your picture. It is very true.

As a mother of two grown girls (ages 31 & 27) and someone who can sympathize with those hard days especially when I was lucky if they would take their usual 35 minute nap (no joke, one 35 minute nap a day). The laundry, dishes, floors, cooking, etc is never ending, but growing children will be gone way too soon. Take the time to play, read and hug them while you can.

Jodi, thank you! Have the doctors told you that the chances of having HG are high with next pregnancies? With my first one I had a really rough pregnancy that resulted in needing to go part time, then bed rest and early induction, but with this one I have been doing so much better. I am past the time when I was put on part time and still feel good. So my point being, maybe there is a chance you will do so much better with the next one.
Do it! It takes the stress out of unpacking. Out of sight, out of mind!

Krista, that is amazing. Courageous, blessed mama. I can't imagine how you must have felt getting a positive pregnancy test so soon lol. Double blessings. :) You will have full hands, and a full heart, as they say. :) Part of my hesitation in trying for #2 is I had hyperemesis gravidarum with my little boy, and I'm not sure how I'd survive another HG pregnancy while caring for such a busy little boy who relies on me so very much. Especially being in the midst of unpacked chaos...I like your idea. I'm totally shoving everything upstairs and pretending it doesn't exist lol. Bet my hubby would love that one. ;p

Jodi, yes I am!! I struggled immensely with infertility for years and was very blessed to have my son. Then I got pregnant again right away. He was only two months old when I got pregnant but didn't find out until he was four months old!! It came as a bit of a shock but I am super grateful! So my two little guys will be less than a year apart! I vote you do! They are so much fun and your little guy will make a great big brother! Don't worry about your chaos in your new place. We have lived in our house for 3 years and I still have stuff in boxes! Shove it all in one room and close the door! ( that's what I do with laundry! Ha ha )

Nini, very wise words. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement! I'm usually the one watching every little moment, knowing it will pass far too quickly, but sometimes I still need a perspective check. Now if only everyone else would see the mess that way lol. I think it's worse having just moved into a new place recently, and trying to create order out of that chaos on top of things makes it more challenging. But I can't even fathom triplets! I don't know how she does it, Sara! That's incredible. Supermama right there!! So I can't complain lol. Krista, are you expecting another?? We've been thinking about baby #2 on and off for some time now, and most of the time I'm too tuckered out to even fathom 2 littles lol. But I've always wanted a few babies...family is my everything in life...so I'll have to suck it up sooner or later lol.

Krista, they're her only kids. The little girl has decided she will sleep in her own room now. My great-niece hears them talking back and forth from room to room before they go to sleep.

Sara, I wouldn't doubt it! Are they her only kids? Or does she have others?

That is very true Nini! I would say 98 percent of the time I actually enjoy all the messes because I know we are building memories. It's nice when the rest of the world sees it that way! When he is older he will never remember how many dishes were dirty, he will remember the good times we had.

Wow, Sara! Triplets! And I have been wondering how I will do with 2 kids under 1! If she can do it with 3 kids all the same age I can do it with 2 kids! Thanks! I needed that boost of confidence today!

Very good advice, Nina. I have great-great triplet niece and nephews. I marvel at how my great niece manages to do it all and still have energy for date time with her husband.

And Jodi, let me add... Now that I've come through the whole process (my son just turned 20!), I can honestly say those were some of the best days of my life... Messes and all! What seems so hard today will one day be the joy of your heart's memories. Fight the good fight, girl - you are amazing and what you are doing right now, today, means EVERYTHING! Don't sweat the small stuff... Some day you're house will be pristine and you'll long for these days, believe me. Enjoy the ride through every life season! These days are precious gifts! Hugs and love - Nini

Seriously, Krista! Unless you've been there, you don't understand what an accomplishment those things can be lol.

Same here!! When I feel this way I just say it's a good day as long as he is feed, the dogs are feed, and I have eaten! Ha ha! Cheers!
