Today was cold and icy after an all-day rain at about 33 degrees yesterday. However, by the afternoon it will warm up to 55 degrees! Then, starting at 3 AM, the temp is supposed to drop and we are expecting a BLIZZARD! Sandals? Boots? It's crazy weather!

Here in southwest Colorado, it has also been yo-yo weather. Warm, then bitter cold and back and forth. We had an unusually warm January with LOTS of rain, interspersed with an occasional snowfall. It was precipitating something all month with THREE weeks of cloudy, gloomy, dreary weather (we're NOT used to that). Then we got two major dumps of snow, totally about 2 feet on top of super saturated ground which never froze because of the insulating cover of snow. We had a few more bitter cold days, then it warmed up and all that snow has been rapidly melting,
Needless to say we have been mucking around in TONS OF MUD for over a month. My gosh, it's MUDDY!!!! UGH!!

Nicole, I feel the same way! It's like the weather is teasing us with Spring and then throwing us back into Winter! It's no fair.

Climate change is doing some very odd things to our weather. Here in the Chicago area it has been more like late March and early April than January and February. Try to get out and enjoy your beautiful days as often as you can.
