Please remember to "Subscribe" to this topic so you don't miss any important information.

This swap is for mini-aprons made with Western-theme fabrics. When making aprons for your fellow swappers, please remember to make something that you would like to receive. We love embellishments - buttons, trims, pockets, lace, ruffles, etc. Future themes throughout the year will be Patriotic, Halloween, Christmas, and "Party" styles. Plan ahead, find fabrics in your stash, and make some mini aprons ahead for these topics when you have spare time. NOTE: They do not all have to be the same - different is fun, too! Use up your scraps and be creative.

Please take a look at the cute aprons from a previous farmgirl mini-apron swap. Read the comments and you will see Grace's collection of mini-aprons here: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?whichpage=0.84&TOPIC_ID=77791#915025

NOTE: There are patterns available for mini-apron ornaments - Simplicity 1957 and Simplicity 2748. There are also free crochet and other mini apron patterns on Pinterest. You can use these or design your own half-aprons or full bib-style aprons. Farmgirls LOVE embellishments!

Sign-ups start now: March 7
Sign-ups end: Noon, Wednesday, March 22
Important! Mail out to Linda by: Friday, April 14
NOTE: I would like your aprons, postage and return envelope BEFORE April 24 so I can sort them, mail them back out, and you can get them before the end of the month. NOTEL If you are also doing Patriotic mini-aprons, definitely plan ahead - the dates will be so we can have them back before Independence Day!

Here are the criteria:
1. You will make a mini apron - either half-apron or full bib-style apron - for each farmgirl who signs up (# depends on signups). Finished apron size is approx. 5" wide and 5-6" long depending on style (Note: my half aprons start at 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and are gathered to a 5" waist) ... not including the ties... ties on each side should be about 6-8"(not incl.waistband) so the aprons can be tied onto an object for display. The bib aprons are about 6-1/2" to 7" long, not counting the neck strap. You might want to add a pocket and tuck a little note inside. You will be getting one of your mini-aprons back. Be sure to sign your mini-aprons.
2. You will send me your set of mini aprons.
3. You will also include a Self-addressed, stamped (with postage stamps) envelope with the same amount of postage as your envelope costs to mail, plus include $1.00 cash to cover the cost of mailing your mini aprons back to you. The extra dollar will cover cost of extra weight that different trims might add. NOTE: Depending on how embellished your aprons are compared to the others, postage could be quite a bit momre.
4. I will divide up the mini aprons, and mail your mini aprons back to you.

I will list names of those who sign up and let you know the final total!

Let's have some fun with these!

Hay there. I have been MIA but just wanted to stop in and tell everyone that these aprons are just the cutest!!!! I have a traveling cowgirl (doll) that camps with me and she will now have different aprons for her various outfits. They are awesome. Thanks again Farmgirls. I hope to join in on a future swap but just can't right now with the work load here on the ranch. I haven't even had time to quilt and that is saying something. Have fun and thanks again.

Love and hugs, Daizy

Amen Shannon!

Linda, look how low our # is! Lucky us to be here so long!

Every time I mail the aprons I give my post lady one. She loves them! See, it doesn't take much to make people happy! LOL!

Received my aprons today. It's my birthday so what a fabulous present. They are so cute! Thanks everyone!

Patriotic aprons went out today. Working on the animal and fancy aprons. How will I ever get to anything else done if I can't get away from the sewing machine! LOL!

You think THESE are cute? Wait until you see the patriotic ones! They are the Bee's Knees. (Is that the right phrase? LOL! YEP! I looked it up. That means they are "Excellent! The highest quality. However - there are other meanings, too. But I like this one.)
