I love love LOVE this apron. I also have absolutely no need for this apron. I've worn it exactly three times in the decade that I've owned it, and it's time to give it away to someone who will appreciate it instead of it just hanging in the closet in my guest room.

This is a full-length, pioneer-style apron that I purchased at the gift shop at Conner Prairie, a fantastic interactive historical park in Fishers, Indiana. It houses villages from different time periods in Indiana's history with costumed characters who greet visitors and actively work the farms and crops that make up the exhibits. This apron was from their pioneer clothing collection. The fabric is thick and it is of great quality.

These photos do not do this justice. I'm 5'2'' and it comes almost to the floor on me. It's meant to be worn with a full skirt, and it's beyond beautiful. (Can you tell that I love this apron?)

If you are interested, please comment between now and March 3rd. I will then choose a winner at random, PM the winner, and mail the apron out to the winner's address.

I received the apron, Rachel, and really like it. I'm sorry I didn't post right away - we were out of town for a few days with our motorhome. You are correct - the apron is very long! I'm 5'6" and it is long on me, too.

Thank you so much for this giveaway drawing.

My husband drew the name for me (which he felt was a lot of pressure) so it would be fair and impartial, and I'm happy to announce that the winner is:

"qulitee" aka Linda! I will be PMing you for your address.

Thanks for entering, everyone! I wish I had more of these to give away!

If the apron could tell its story what would it say? please enter me in the free drawing. I collect aprons and send them as gifts to friends and use them to decorate and collect poems and stories about them. they are a wonderful gift from the past and it is a shame they are not used as much by women of today. I can see why you love it and treasure it. How interesting the park in Indiana must be to see how farms were worked in the past. Is there a story for that specific apron? Did it belong to a specific pioneer woman? I am a fan of pioneer garb such as worn in Little House. Thank you
for sharing.

Farmgirl friends are fun.

Linda, I found a pattern that was similar but I don't think is quite the same. I'll dig it out and send you a picture via email later (or I'll find a link, it is out of print but I found it on etsy just can't remember if I bought it....)
