I was so excited when I saw the mail today. I got my copy of the new book. I can't wait to try the recipes. The best part of the book for me though is the chapter on restoring. I have a few pieces I need to give TLC. Thanks Mary Jane for another awesome book.

You can use cast iron cookware on those flat glass stove tops but you have to be careful not to break the glass. We use a lot of cast iron so I decided against one of those stoves because I knew I would manage to break the glass.

Question,

While we are house hunting I have noticed the glass top stove tops in quite a few houses. Is it safe to use cast iron skillets on them?

I love my cast iron items. I wouln't want to cook with anything else. I am concerned that I might need to buy a different stove. Can the coil top stoves handle cast iron. I have always had gas burners all my life. The houses in the areas we are looking are mostly electric, no gas or propane.

Making some scones tomorrow in my cast iron pan like the one you just reconditioned. Love this new book.

I did both these pans today twice. The book says to follow the steps 4 times total. But WoW what a difference already. Per the book the four times do not have to be all on the same day.

Ok I have my supplies, coconut oil, sanding screen, scrubby sponges, rubber gloves and a cast iron piece that needs a lot of attention. We will see how well I can follow directions.

There are so many recipes in this book and they cover a wide variety of cast iron griddles, pots, skillets, dutch oven, and even the Aebleskiver Pan. Like I said earlier, I can't wait to give these recipes a try!

I received mine as well. Thank you for all the wonderful Gluten Free Recipes to use with my cast iron. It is appreciated more than I can say MaryJane and Ashley.
Thank you for your autograph as well, makes the book even more special to me.
As with all your books this one is fabulous too!

Hugs,

I received my MJ Cast Iron book yesterday and went through it twice last night. Love it! Tonight I am going to go through it again and mark the recipes I want to start trying.
