So, as a parent there are a lot of “firsts”. Many of them are hard: first time they get sick, the first time they board a school bus, the first time they ride with friends, etc. Nothing was as hard as today. My dd is 17 and got her drivers license recently. Today she drove herself to school. We are so proud, but nothing was harder than watching her drive away without one of us in the car. ,

Nicole, I can only imagine how emotional that would be! Luckily I have 12 more years before I need to even worry about that. My boys do have a little power wheel truck and when I watch them drive it I have to chuckle and pray they change the driving age to older lol! They are terrible!

Hi Denise, yes, I was a nervous wreck! I have tried hard not to show it, though. Now I know how my mom felt thirty years ago!

Nicole,
Having gone through this 3 times myself I totally understand. I was a nervous wreck each time one of mine drove by themselves. Now they are married with children of their own so I know they drive with more care.
