If you have a blog and do a blog post and mention my challenge with a link to my blog I'll include you in Week 4 with a link back to your blog post. (see week 2) my friend Lynda's blog post about joining in the fun.

That is wonderful Melody that you could do that for your kids. We did the same thing as well as our friends. In fact they got so much stuff that it could not all fit in their little apartment. We are going to have a garage sale in the Fall to sell what they could not use. We gave another friend who is getting married s full set of vintage dishes I bought at a garage sale some time back. I would love to get rid of it all and downsize to a smaller home and be mortgage free.

I swear my husband and I have furnished TWO apartments in the last two years-Kids are out and on their own with a ton of stuff divided amongst them. It saved the kids a lot of cash and their places look so SWEET! Nan's apartment is Mid-Century Modern and Elli's well Elli's is what you would call Eclectic. I am so glad we were able to give them some good pieces and we are always on the lookout for more bargains. Our old boat of a house is finally getting pared down and freeing up of space---Bruce told me the other day "Just because the house is emptying out doesn't mean we are making more room for more stuff!" I firmly disagreed!

It sure does feel good to get rid of stuff we don't use or need anymore! After, our daughter got married and moved out it was time to do the much needed overhaul on our house.

It must be in the AIR!

Since before we went on vacation to TN I have been 'purging' a LOT of junk out of the house and while on vacation in KY specifically the Auburn, KY area (South Union Shaker Village) I've stepped the decluttering up several notches......

FEELS GOOD to get rid of stuff doesn't it?
