Some of you know, some of you dont, I have a TON of Longaberger that I am soooooo over. I am willing to give, thrust, heave (any other adjectives??) it away for "stuff". I love stuff. So I'm just gonna write up a Christmas List of my "wants" and if anyone wants something for it, we can email...and trade yer junk fer mine!

Buttons, Lace, Flour Sack Fabric, Chenille, Vintage table linens, Red & White kitchen stuff, small crocks (like for butter/kraut)chicken stuff-I'm obsessed. I'm pretty easy to please as long as I can get these baskets out of my way! Hey... the way heating oil prices keep rising I could use them for fire wood! Kidding of course!

dawn .. i have some too .. they are quality baskets .. but the day i visted a 'potter' friend of ours in maryland .. she showed me her antique truly, hand-made baskets .. and the HONEYMOON was over between longaberger and me!

you really should check a web-site somewhere to make sure you get a fair price for your baskets .. some of them are VERY high-priced and collectible. and if they have handles .. it might be kinda' hard to pack them up to mail/ship.

i know what you mean though. i gave mine to my daughters! xo

Dawn, I would be interested in a swap too. I don't know much about longaberger though. Do you have any small baskets with two sides, like for eating/shelling peanuts?

Hi Dawn,
I have a vintage hen salt and pepper set that sit on an egg tray for deviled eggs. It was my grandmother's. If you are interested let me know. I'd love one of the baskets, I've never had any but always wanted one.
Thanks,
Marjean

Okay, ladies, I've stayed out of this as long as I can stand. Yes, I too was a Longaberger consultant and therefore have many baskets I would be willing to part with. I have a lot of small ones I would love to barter for old time country stuff. I also have a lot of salt & pepper shakers that I'd be willing to barter with. I inherited my grandmother's collection and while I'm sure there are some that I can't part with, they're all sitting in a box in the basement and I'd rather them find a home where they'll be loved and cared for. The flip side is I'm still open to adopting more of the large baskets so I'd be willing to barter for/buy some of those.

Things I'm looking for: buttons, buttons and more buttons; old quilts (do not need to be in perfect condition); chenille; vintage tablecloths and linens; anything sewing-related; old kitchen tools. There's probably more that I'd be interested in but can't think of at the moment.

This afternoon I was planning on spending time in our basement so I'll round up my baskets while I'm down there and post a list later today.

Hope this wasn't too confusing!

God bless -
Karen

OK! I guess I started it huh? Well, I just emailed a big list of them to several people, please email me if you want the list as i have tried and tried to post pics on this forum and my pea brain will NOT grasp the idea! Marjean, I am interested in the hen set... are you sure cuz it was Grandma's!!! Bboopster (that fun to say!) and star meadow: I have a couple 2 sided things, I also have a wooden divider that you can split one basket into 2 sections. At least I think I do. Okay, everyone can email me for their specifics so i dont get confused! Ya Right! haha Amy....so what do YOU got???

Just wondering.... I am alone alot and thought if it was a 2-3 hour hike I might invite someone to go "treasure hunting"! Hubby farms & pulls tractors and I hold the fort down!

I'd love to see some pics of your baskets. I've never traded before but am interested. I have all kinds of stuff I have collected and might be willing to trade. I love baskets! Don't have many. Tracy

Friends & family joke that I will be buried in a custom made Longaberger basket. Went on the collecting craze for about twenty years but stopped after a few too many purchases of baskets on eBay. When you store your bathroom tissue in a Longaberger basket, you know there are way too many in the collection. Can't fit another toothpick in a already full house, but does anyone have the J.W. Longaberger collection series, original or the special issue mini versions they would be willing to trade for?

Dawn, where is Nova, Ohio? I live in Northern Kentucky, about 10 minutes south of Cincy. Love a road trip--actually planning on heading up to Zanesville to do some pottery tours in the late autumn.

Gosh... I dunno.... I want to. SOmedays it gets so darn lonely around here. Love Hubby to death but he's NEVER home, I guess thats why they call us "farm widows". Hey Jonni, Nova is 1.5 hours north of Columbus. So it'd be a 4 hour drive. I hear there is a good flea market in Fly Ohio. Fly? Seriously? I've never heard of it. But hubby's family is from Olive Hill KY.....

Linda, I have the first three baskets in the JW minis. It may take me a day or two to find them. They lived in our china cabinet until we sold it to some friends. I packed them away safely - apparently too safe! I KNOW I have them though so if Dawn doesn't have them, I'd love to barter.

God bless -
