Hope you are feeling all better now. It seems like a good time there. Can't believe those temps. What do you do to stay cool? It's been busy here with homeschooling and the kids' activities.
So nice to hear from you. Will you be staying in India permanently now?

hi gal friends.....praying for the stinky economy over there....want my daughter to succeed in getting a job when she goes back this time.She will be returning at Christmas, and then my son will be here. ITS MY MIL 90TH BIRTHDAY this year, so we are celebrating.
I rode on the Metro----a very new and cheap subway. Its hard for me to believe how modern it is....its very very nice and convenient.
I am going to a 5 star hotel today to get an Estee Lauder makeover----and having tea.....should be fun----maybe funny.
The gardenia bush is in bloom, the crsanthumums will be in bloom inDecember....my roses are slowly coming around.....must go play in the dirt, ttyl.

A makeover and tea,how relaxing that sounds.
Hope you have fun and let us know how you like it!
I still have a few roses hanging on here even though we are using the woodstove.
Temps aren't freezing yet.
God is good....all the time.

Oh Beverly, what a wonderful gift you are offering by opening up your home for us Farmgirls to stay. I would LOVE to come visit. But, unfortunately I will have to save my money also.

wish some of you were here right now////the weather is good--cool at night.
The opportumity to travel and see what the other side of the world does ---its a real eye opener....and it does make one appreciate the freedoms we have in the USA .
I so far have had 1 single woman in her 60's , and 2 sisters 1 39 1 45? visit.....they all enjoyed India very much.....the first visitor stayed in India almost 2 months-staying with me 1 week. The sisters stayed 2 days to start and then 2 at the end of 18days. Come on over---but don't come in the summer---its too hot for you to enjoy. ttyl

Good morning everyone----hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. Mine ended up pretty nice....no turkey though...waiting for Christmas.
My husband is getting us a new car so it will be easier for us to get around....not that its hard to get around...but a car a... and driver will make it easier for me---particularly in the extreme weather.
I just want to tell you ---if any of you are interested in coming over---the weather.
November high 70's 80's///at night cool.
December 60 normal 40 coldest
January winter
February cold but warming up
March 90's
April, May, June 100's
July 90's monsoons
August, September sticky hot
October 90's
Coming in the summer is for the very brave....fair warning it is hot,
hot, hot. All our rooms have the very best of air conditioning---except the dining room....not sure why that was omitted. We now belong to 2 clubs with pools....and have access to a third nearby that looks similar to William Randolph Hearst's pool.
I might be going up to the mountains to the family summer home sometime in the summer to avoid some of the heat....but who knows?
If anyone wants to venture with me there, there is plenty of room.
My whole hearted recommendation would be to come next year in November/December------the wedding season. Last week on one day--because it was auspicious there were 40,000 weddings in New Delhi alone. No, I don't mean 4,000-----I mean 40,000.
Well gal friends I will close now and start my Friday. I would want you to know 2 things about visiting me.....1. the only charge for staying with me is I might ask you to bring me a cake mix or two,some food item or something small I can't get over here like a green glass flower vase for $2. 2. the second thing that you should understand is I'M not into sightseeing too too much with you.
I am here to help you along...give you ideas,make sure you stay healthy and safe. but not necessarily be with you every minute. But more then likely with a driver and car now sightseeing along with you will be nice.
The first gal who visited wanted my companionship alot----and at the time I was busy managing servants versus mil. The 2 sisters worked out very good....they traveled alot but had me as home base----I knew where they were most of the time....and had their vital info kept locked up here.I suggest if you can, come over with someone else.The guest room has 2 beds, but we certainly could squeeze in 3.

hi gal friends.......hope you alll had a great merry Christmas.....mine was pretty good besides the tooth ache that has been bothering me. To the dentist tomorrow.
New Delhi is chilly now unless yo are in the sun,tonight I sleep with 2 light blankets.
With all the Christmas baking I have done....I have to go swimming soon to lose a few.
I really appreciate getting mail here in India, thanks gal friends. Will end for now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. it is now New Year's Day here and its chilly. We use no heat as it doesn't stay chilly long--maybe 2 months. The house is very big so to heat it all would be alot of money. My mil sits near a heater for the one room---but I don't sit with her, as going out into the cold makes it so much worse.
Today I am getting my legs waxed so I can start swimming everyday
in a large heated pool.....I am happy to be able to try to tone up some.
I went for my root canal yesterday----yuk......glad to get that taken care of.And happy to say its affordable....just hope he got all the infection out.....he told me that the canal had the worst infection. I should get an award.
My rose bushes are slowly slowly looking pretty good---for $2 a bush I am pleased......and they were the expensive ones. Not exactly David Austin, though.
I will be offering a unique barter very soon for any April Cornell fans......stay tuned or e-mail me back. This will be fun.
