Very pretty, Jaime!

I'm a sucker for those dishtowels, Christy!

Today I am trying to finish up a child's ruffled apron. Its part of a mother/daughter set. I want to get it into the mail.

Yesterday I had a very productive day. I made a baby blanket and three burp cloths for my cousin's baby shower, cut out pieces for a duffel bag for myself, and made a trip to the fabric store for a bunch of notions that I need for a few of my works in progress. Today I hope to cut up the white kona cotton I bought and continue working on the chevron quilt. I almost have all the chevrons made and then sewing them together for the top will go really quickly!

Jamie, the wreath is beautiful! If it was really black it would match my bedroom perfectly!

Wow Rachel, you completed a ton yesterday! Way to go!

Here is my completed hot pad/pot holder that I made for my mom for her birthday.

WOW! Everyone has sure been busy, and such great stuff. Hot pad is so cute, and I love the wreath! It would look great in my bedroom! :) I've spent a busy weekend too. Picked up our granddaughter on Saturday afternoon, finished up her shopping for school clothes and then stopped at Joann Fabric's for material for a backpack. She's 15, will be starting her freshman year in HS on Wed. She picked out her material and we used a backpack I had as a pattern. She did most of the cutting and sewing herself, with me looking over her shoulder. All and all, we had a great time! Dropped her off today just in time for band practice. I"m ready for a nap!

Krista I recognize that pot holder pattern, it's one of my favorites. I love the ribbon you added, such a pretty touch.

Today I am going to attempt to finish up my duffel bag. I found out last night that my dance class starts next week, and I thought I had until September! I have the pieces cut and attached to interfacing, so I just need to cut them apart there and attach. Fortunately it's a pretty basic bag, so I'm hoping I can get it finished tonight while boyfriend has band practice. I will post a picture if I do :)

Judy, her backpack turned out nice! I bet she will love it.

Rachel, when I decided to make a pot holder I wanted something simple to start with and came across this pattern. I absolutely love it. It's easy to make but still looks really nice! I'm thinking of making more as Christmas gifts. Thank you!
Good luck with your duffle bag.

Thanks ladies. Since I have decided to make some for Christmas gifts, I need some help. What colors would you use (since asking what colors people want would give it away)? I want to make a set of two, would you make them both the same color or two different colors?

I like to get the sugar and cream skeins in a self striping colorway, then I'll find another skein in a solid color that matches one of the colors in the striping yarn so they go together but don't match exactly.

Oh I like that idea Rachel. Thank you!
Grace, I am thinking I will leave the ribbon off of the hot pad for Christmas presents. I will add the ribbon on for special requests only. Oh I wish you could too! I love crocheting. I am so glad I was able to learn how.

I finished a burlap wreath for Halloween I've been working on :)

And I also added the finishing touches to my felt flower wreath I shared earlier, to make it ready for Halloween!

Jamie, those wreath's are amazing! And your cherry pie is so cute, don't blame you for wanting one of your own! I finished my DH's shirt. He builds R/C airplanes so when I showed him this material he wanted a shirt out of it. I got to use my button hole maker and the button sewing foot! That was really fun!

Thanks to all for the lovely comments - really makes me smile! I feel so isolated sometimes because I'm pretty much on my own in my circle of friends, etc. as far as crafting goes! It's nice to have folks to share with!

I forgot to get a good side view of the cherry pie ornament so you can see it is sitting in the ring of a mason jar - my favorite part!

katmom - Hope it gets cooler for you soon! We've had a break in the weather here - feels like fall and I am LOVING it!

Needle - So impressed with those that can sew clothing! My sewing skills on a machine are SUPER basic!

I finished one more little craft project this weekend - embroidering our new dog's name on her Christmas stocking for this year!

Jamie, your wreaths are gorgeous! I wish I knew how to make them! Also your cherry pie ornament and stocking look really good. You are very talented. Great job on the shirt, Judy. It looks really nice.

I have been busy working on some hot pads. My mom has asked me to make 8 for her so she can give them as Christmas presents. I finished one this weekend. 7 more to go!

Jamie, Love the puppy sock! We don't really have any place to hang Christmas socks. :( I've been working on a Peppermint Swirl skirt at the request of a friend of mine, so that's been taking up my spare time today. Tomorrow it's back to work.

Let see, not a UFO... But I bought the Kitchenaid mixer I have been lining over for 2 years. It was on clearance (finally) so I made cookies, so I kind of accomplished something.
