Claudia, the confidence thing is so true....or maybe we just don't care what people think! hmmmmm....half dozen in one hand/6 in the other....which is it? lolol Yup....I'm the "Nut" in the group.
Kathleen, that is so eloquently put...very beautiful.
Use to be, in olden days, older women and men were revered...anything the young person wanted to know, they'd ask the "Older-Wiser-One!" Now they push us out of the way, rushing onward to just blunder through and destroy (most) everything in their path that they know nothing about...Oh...and it's called progress and multi-tasking. I was lucky, I had an older, wiser Great G-Mother to learn from. I really respected and adored that woman. She was special!

When I hit 50,I remember thinking I was in the middle of those that died before me and those still coming along behind me. Need to pass along to the youngsters all I know about the "oldsters" so they won't forget where they came from. I see my kids picking up on a lot of traditions and teachings and am encouraged.

I will be 57 this year. I honestly think my 50s have become a learning experience for me. I too, at times worry less about peoples thoughts. Still care about the thoughts of those close to me tho. But, I feel within the last couple years, with the help of farmgirls, I may add, that I am beginning to trust more and come into my own more. If that makes sense?

Claudia, love what you said. Lets all share a bit!

I have a daughter that works at Borders and she found the farmgirl mags for me! Once I got online, found the forums, and have been hooked every since!!! How about you ladies?

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Blessings, Linda

Hi everyone. I find I'm more outspoken than I was when I was younger and I also don't worry as much about what people think of me. I think that old saying is true "wish I knew then what I know now"

Oh yaaa....I agree with that, Betty. I too am more outspoken than I was before 50. I use to be so backward(yes Caudia,I was, believe it).
Patsy,my Sister,(craftbug-above)and I were raised to be "seen and not heard," so that stuck with us for years and years. Now, speaking for myself, "Look-Out World!! I got THAT muzzle off" LOL

I'm 54! Can't believe it but I am. I'm thankful for all the years of experience I have behind me! I'm loving having a grownup relationship with my son and being a Yia Yia ( Greek for grandmother) to my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. It's a good place to be. Old enough to appreciate life and young enough to enjoy it.

My mind thinks I am 27 but the body....really 58. Oh Well! I wouldn't trade where I am or what I know in life now for being younger. It's the best.

Love that CJ! Gave me a mental visual of our great aunt. She is 97 and always pleasant and cheerful.
