My husband and I are talking about moving out west and I'm wondering if all my home canned goodies will be ok with the altitude change? It may seem a silly question to some but I'm no mountain girl so I'm just trying to figure these things out! Thanks!

I moved from about 700' to 5000' and didn't have any problems. We had used up most of our home canned goods before the move but what we did move was fine. No problem with the seals.

I would think that it should be okay as long as the seals stay. If altitudes change drastically very quickly i would keep a eye on them incase they explode. But it shouldn't happen. Transport carefully.
