this has to be some huge ugly mistake..we got a court summons in the mail for my dh yesterday, he and 19 others from his former work are accused of theft I can't believe this is happening to us, he has never stolen anything in his life, we have just now got our finances and life back on track after years of struggle and debt including a bankruptcy and foreclosure. I am so terrified I couldn't eat a thing yesterday, feel nauseous all the time, I don't even know what to do

Oh my word! How scary! I bet they accused everyone who had access to whatever it is that went missing. Hopefully it is something easy to prove that he did not take an the charges against him will be dismissed. Still- what a horrible experience! *hugs* I am so so sorry!

I will be praying for you that all turns out well. Hopefully if there was theft, that person or persons come forward and confess so everyone does not have to go through all of that. Try to think positive thoughts and hopefully all will be done soon.

I'm so sorry that you have to go through something like this. Try to stay positive.
In the mean time, do your best to take care of yourself. I know that you're worried, but you need to eat something *hugs*

That is horrible. Sending out prayers that this is over quickly. And the person that is responsilble will do the right thing and come forward so no one else has to suffer because of this accusations. Keep us informed so we can keep prayers going. Hugs Marlee

Prayers and hugs for you. I agree that you must take care of yourself. Start preparing and get everything in order. Sounds like that they are accusing such a larger group because they are unsure who if anyone of the culprit. Years ago a friend of mine was accused of stealing a work sewing machine. This friend along with the other 30 + women who were working the 2nd shift all were accused but they had to drop the charges because nothing could be proved. My friend did have all of her pay stubs, hours she worked and all of her performance reviews with her when she went to defend herself.

hugs,
-missy-

Oh hon, I'll be praying. First, eat something. Then, help your hubby gather up ANYTHING that could be used to prove his innocence.

Stay strong and eat for goodness sakes....you need to keep yourself well thru this. It's a common thing to call in "all who had access" so those accusing aren't "targeting" a particular individual or group of individuals. Not that it makes it any easier, but that's why all 19 have been summoned. Good thoughts going your way,nd keep us posted!

Sounds like when the whole class at school is in trouble til one confesses. That happened to my granddaughter recently. I hope it all works out for your hubby. And I know this is hard, but try not to worry too much. You know what worry does to a person.

I agree with what everyone else is saying. I am sure this whole summons thing is just a formality that they have to go through to start a process of going after who they really feel is responsible. I know that doesnt make it any easier, but try your best to let it go a little bit, Breathe deep and exhale. This too shall pass.
Sending prayers your way!
Hugs,

Keeping you in my thoughts Patricia! Keep in mind a summons is not actual charges, so right now they are still investigating. Like everybody says, get your paperwork together and keep calm. I really think everything will work out in the end.

Good grief! How could anyone conclude that 19 people stole something! You are in my thoughts. I know this is so scary. I hope you will be ok through this.

Oh my gosh - hang in there. I got a summons not too long ago for a computer that I paid off years ago. I called the lawyer and told him I thought it was awful funny that they would wait for 3 years and a burned down house to bring about a suit. I haven't heard anything since.
