I just had to share this pic of my nephew Eric with his fiddle group in Vermont. They performed at Shelburne Museum recently. He is quite a bit younger than the other players but they enjoy having him play along. Eric just turned 7 has been playing for almost two years now. It all happened after he found a "box" under my bed when he was visiting at age 4. After much begging and pleading we finally opened the box and discovered aunt Marilyn's violin which had been in hibernation for a few years. I tuned it up and played a few tunes for him. He was fascinated from that moment forward and kept begging for a violin. So as a gift when he turned 5 I rented him a violin for three months. My SIL found a teacher willing to work with him and he just took off from there. Kids learn so quickly and easily at that age and his progress is amazing! I can't wait to see him again this summer so we can play twin fiddles and I can hear him play in person!
That is so AWESOME! Two of my daughters play violin and I love to enjoy their music! You are right they do learn so quick! Thank you for sharing the beautiful picture!

Oh my goodness I am in awe of this young guy. I am 56 years old and just started to learn to play the guitar, wish I could have learned to play at his age. What a thrilled it will be to hear him play this summer and playing together, that is just so neat. Thank you for sharing Marilyn. Hugs, Debbie
I'd love to hear him play! Thanks for sharing. Marly
