We had such a good time in March that we're at it again . . . TENT GLAMPING that is!!! You can read about our March adventure in the first "TENT GLAMPING" thread from March here in Outpost.

This time we are in Colorado at Priest Gulch Campground along the Dolores River about 35 miles from my home. We arrived yesterday (Monday, 07/02/12) about 11 AM and started building our "girl fort" again. It doesn't look exactly the same because we've done different things with our frills and lace.

Supper on Monday night was burgers (without buns) with fresh farmgirl grown sliced tomatos, pickled green beans, and sliced onions. For dessert 'smores . . . but ya' gotta come back for pics of that yumminess!

We were tired and went to bed in our cozy tent . . . more about that later as well. Lots more to share!!!
Thanks for letting us share.
CJ and Robin . . "birdie71"

Need a farmgirl-y hanger/post but this was visible to all passersby . . our sign on the car door mirror.

My doggie, Bramble, sooooo happy to be glamping with us. We bought a new chair with the mesh panel . . just for her.

Our canopy . . . "pantry" section on the left and "boudoir" in the center. There were things on the outside of the canopy and this doesn't include our tent. . . yet

The porch on our new tent . . . lacy trim all around. We LOVE the screened porch feature!

The view from our glamp-site to the right up the Dolores River

The view from our glamp-site to the left, down the Dolores River

Come on over farmgirls . . . we're about to cook supper!!

Now . . let's get "serious" about farmgirl frolicking!!!

Beautiful surroundings. Love the lace of the tent-don't think my husband will me do that to our tent--might look a little odd when he backpacks with his friend: )

I figured as much: ) I'm surrounded by men. I did find a vintage Shasta for my friend and she's glamping it up. After she get's over "backing it up" phobia we'll do a glamp.

We had to cover our table and the front of our "porch" with tarps during our midday mountain showers. We didn't get to prepare our planned lunch but had a lunch snack that was doable while sitting in the canopy doing embroidery.
When the showers passed we pulled back the tarps and cooked an early supper . . . chicken sauteed with poblano pepper, onion and mushroom with chipotle marinade and a side salad. And . . you guessed it. . . more s'mores. This time with dark chocolate with orange peel in it.
YUMMY. We get our marshmallows from farmgirl "calicogirl" . . Sharon, and they are just wonderful!!!

Doesn't that just make you want s'more?

Finger licking delectable yumminess

And, ya' don't wanna mess with a two-pocket pistol packin' mama!

I envy you gals being able to do this together. I don't have anyone here to go with ezcept hubby, and he does not like all that glamor. We are going camping Sunday for a week and I am going to add some feminine glamor in whether he likes it or not. He will get used to it. I love what you two do to the tents with all that lace, even Bramble looks happy!! Have fun!!
