So true, Denise! :)

1) A clean carpet - decided to scrub the floors yesterday instead of gardening - 'tsall good!
2) My microfiber duster which reaches in places I'd never want to blindly stick my hands! (Think: militant spiders with cigars behind chest-high radiators! LOL!)
3) Candlelight dancing against sparkly faceted crystal - it's simply magical! ;)

I sure do know how to enjoy a day to myself, don't I? LOL!

Congratulations, Kris on the farm market! I knew you'd be a shoo in!

I'm going to try to be blessed today--I have to say, girls, I could use the encouragement--just so darn miserable in this job and feeling REALLY sorry for myself and I realize that I SHOULD be happy, should feel grateful to have a job, but it's a real challenge, honestly. Hard to turn that around and make it a motivator.

So...let's see:

Blessed by my husband and child--the love and support I get from them is so vital, especially when things seem so challenging.

Blessed by my new church--Violet and I went early Saturday morning to help out with a food pantry in an oppressed area of the City and I was so touched by the kindness and generous spirits there of the people we were serving. I also made some new friends within the church and that makes me very happy!

Blessed with my health.

1. We had a great day yesterday. My youngest grand daughter's 10th birthday party here, with family. I love getting together with them all. We had so much fun.

2. 5 healthy grand children so far.

3. Alot of rain to water the gardens for me. That should last a month or more.

Thanks, Jonni. I am excited and nervous at the same time. More work, but I need it. I will be thinking of you this week. I have worked outside the home a lot, but would not want to again. I worked for a temp service once and worked for 3 women who did business logos on everything. (They reminded me so much of that show Designing Women. Is that the name? With Dixie Carter?) I had to file a lot and organize. They apparently liked me becuase I stayed there several months. I kept going in thinking hopefully this would be my last day. But they kept me there. I don't like doing the same ole thing every single day. So I am sending you lots of happy encouraging thoughts for this week!!!! Stay positive! And you so have a lot to be happy about, by the looks of your blessings. Focus on them for now and know there is something so much better for you out there. Like your pie business. How's that going? A slice of pie sure sounds good right now.

Kris

Kelly: loved your third answer! Me, too!!
Today I am happy for the left over crawfish etouffee, my wonderful chat on the phone with Tina who I dearly love, and the kindness of neighbors.

Me, three! :)

1) The smell of lilacs in the cool of the morning.
2) The little things - which really are the big things. ;)
3) Dave Ramsey, his homeschool program, and watching my son put his wisdom into action.

Blessings today, 4/30

Courage. It's taken me a long time to find it, but I'm reaching out to connections and people I know in the non-profit sector for jobs. It might take a while, but if I network, I'll probably be able to find a place where I'm actually helping someone or working towards a similar goal within a program.

This one is a constant blessing: for my little family. My husband and my daughter are my constants. I want to be better, do more, be more for them.

For little joys. We bought a grill last night and I'm making plans for a wonderful dinner on Thursday night when we're all home together.

Nini~ I have to agree, I LOVE the smell of lilacs. They are my all time favorite flower and smell.

1.Chatting with my daughter on the phone. :)
2.Being able to have dinner in the crock pot to free up my afternoon.
# And it's a blessing to be back on the forum more often.

I made 19 little jars of dandelion jelly the past 2 days for market tomorrow.

Beautiful sunshine to dry up all this mud.

Potatoes coming up!

Happy Mayday!

1.) Today its... could it be???? The wind isn't blowing the green off the hills and it's not sleeting!!! Looking sooooooo forward to sunshine and yard work!

2.) Standing on my porch in the chill and watching dawn break over the frosty Palouse hills with a warm cup of mint tea. listening to the gentle sounds of nature. At peace in communion with the world and the divine.

3.) Living well within our means even though we aren't well off and still being able to put money away.

It is so wonderful when you can et to know your neighbors. We know our neighbors but not much interaction with them.

Today I am grateful for:
The freedom we still have to pray and worship
Early morning hours to spend alone
My loyal Shelby girl who is always by my side when I am home.
