As many you know, I live in the mountains of Southwest Wyoming. This area is so beautiful and very different from the areas that many farmgirls live. I've been trying to think of a creative way to share the beauty of the area that also expresses the unique culture of the area.

Hi Sherone,
I love taking photos that tell a story. Here is one your photo speaks to. My brother and sister-in-law had a run in with hunters that sneaked onto their property with expensive hunting dogs and they ended up in their driveway with barking dogs in the wee hours of the morning. The hunters were warned to leave but they let go one of their dogs and it charged at my sister-in-law and my brother had no choice but to shoot at it. It died. There was a sign similar to this posted in several places on their property. Yes, the sheriff was related to the hunters, so the court case went on for two years and my brother nearly ended up in jail. Finally, it was resolved but it cost them thousands of dollars to include paying for the hunting dog. They live on several acres in Oklahoma that is a nature preserve. The insurance company tried so many things legally, and it was truly a battle in court. Sooooo, your photo of this sign more than likely has a story of its own behind it. Have fun! I like taking photos of scenes that speak to agrarian life.

| I love your fence post picture, it reminded me of a signs my husbands uncle posted all over his land, No Hunting ALL Survivors Will Be Prosecuted. Most folks around the area knew he was a man of his word. Thanks for sharing I do enjoy your blog. Karla |

Thanks, Annie and Karla. I am having so much fun driving the back roads looking for scenes to include in this series. Did you see the two previous photos? One was taken on my way to the youth camp where my husband works. It is located in the Uinta Mountains and with all the rain we have had....the wildflowers are amazing! The other one was taken between Farson and South Pass, WY. This is near the Oregon Trail crossing. In fact, if I had panned out a little, you would have been able to see a cut in the mountain where the trail went through. I adore Wyoming and hope that this series can give y'all a little taste of the beauty here.

Hi Sherone. Love the photography! You certainly have an 'eye' for beauty! I love the horse pic especially, it's so peaceful. I'm a horse person so I'm a little biased. I even love the picture of the rocker vignette on your blog heading, it could be in a magazine. Go with your passion and your creativity and you can't go wrong. ;)

Thanks so much Carla and Diane. I really appreciate your comments. I am a budding photographer and got my camera for Christmas a few years back. I have been amazed how having a good camera has given my creativity release. It must be catching, because a really good friend on mine has taken up the ring and is going to be contributing photos to the seroes. He is an amazing photograher, so we can look forward to that.

Thanks, girls. I love doing my blog. I use it to have a creative outlet from a rather boring day job. :)
A lot of people drive through Wyoming on I-80 and never see the incredible beauty of this State. I have fun looking for fence posts to use as reference points. It make you really look at your surroundings instead of just passing by.
Our friend Dale has jumped on the fence post wagon with me. He has said the same thing. The picture of the beach in Hawaii is one that he took. I teased that he just want a picture of the pretty girl, not the fence post.
Anyway, thanks for blog love! Anna Pearl loves it!
