After 17 years of selling on line I am trying to find a new idea for a gift to tuck into the customers packages. Since I do fiber, yarns and such I try to make it fit with what they purchased. I have had lavender sachets, stitch markers, book markers, little ornaments during the holiday season, fiber or yarn sambles but now I am fresh out of ideas. I have seen most just add a card with a discount code - but I am not sure about that idea.
WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST
Many thanks for taking the time and effort to assist me. Blessings and Be Well Grace

Hi Grace, Actually, I think that is a great idea! For a few reasons, it gets people to come back and it also gets your business card out there. And at the little cost of business cards through Vistaprint.com, it really is a very cost effective way to advertize and get potential return business. I sell raw fleeces, so when I sell a certain color of Shetland fleece, I always try to send a clean sample of another color of fleece or type I sell as so people can see what else I have. But the real problem is being out of the eye of your buyers ... meaning that when you made the transition to your new place, you had to have down time, which means people are loyal to you as long as they can see and buy. If your site is down, they move on. That is the problem with Etsy, if your shop is not there ... some other shop is. I actually do better on my web site than on Etsy, no I am not getting rich, but I am selling. Grace, you have beautiful yarn! I myself have purchased some of it (I always try to support my fellow spinners and woolies). I know you will get back to it Grace, you still are trying to find your place now, it will come in time. If you want to chat you can pm me. Good luck!

The little gifts you include with purchases is great marketing. The discount or loyalty card would be a beneficial addition.
You fiber girls ROCK!

How about a cute little refrigerator magnet of a sheep or other fiber producing animal, with your contact info, maybe with a little fluff of the fiber?

I have loved the little gifts you have included when I have ordered from you! Wish I had some great ideas for you, but I love what you have come with in the past.
Inside me there is a skinny girl crying to get out, but I can usually shut her up with cookies. |

WOW Ladies THANKS SO VERY MUCH!!!!! Teri I agree and Etsy has changed so much since I started with them - it is a shame but we all must grow and change and that includes me... I will add the special coupon code to my business card that I always including in someone's package. I use to do a cute frig magnet and I love that idea to use again. I am also thinking of some kind of holiday ornament or winter theme gifty. I guess my animals did give me tons of ideas and so I have to find new muses. Today I did have a lost hen find me - poor dear - she is so worried and lost - I always get the one's looking for help. As for the bats they are staying out of the house but I still visit them nightly outside so we have our time together. LOVE BATS
