I like parsnips but have never dried them. Do they dry okay?
I bought a $2 bag of marked down 1lb pkgs parsnips - 4 pkgs. I don't have room in my freezer to freeze them - I have a glass top stove so I am hesitant to can on it so I dry vegetables.
When I walked into the produce department this morning the manager met me with the bag of parsnips. I wasn't in yesterday - Wed is my usual day to shop - so he saved them for me. I took the bag without checking it out. He knows what I buy so I knew he wouldn't give me any bad produce. I was right - all parsnips are good - they just got in a new shipment and marked down what had been out.
