I have several scobies to make kombucha if anyone is interested. They are brewed with a 50/50 split of green and black organic tea and organic sugar. Some are 4 inches across and some are 6 inches. Both can make a gallon of tea at a time.
Also have Milk Kefir Grains. Yet another way to consume probiotic bacteria that is good for gut flora.
Would like to barter for a canned good or something small.

I must say, I have received a scoby from Kelly, and they are extremely prolific and healthy - and make delicious kombucha tea according to my hubby and kids (I'm the only one that does not drink it, lol). If anyone is considering it, I highly recommend you get one of her scobies!!!

Hi!
What are you looking for in trade? If they are still available, I'm very interested. My doctor suggested kombucha for a stomach problem. Thanks!!

I also have traded some homemade goats milk soap with Kelly for a kombucha scoby. I can't wait to try it...

I tried Kombucha for the first time yesterday. The one i tried had Namaste in it? I'm not sure what that is either, but I loved it!

totally love kefir, it's now become a daily staple for me. I buy it tho, I haven't made my own, but I think that would be awesome too

Denise..yes I did receive the milkglass piece last night. I love it. Just beautiful. Thank you

Marti....sorry for the late reply. My 3 yr old granddaughter was airlifted at lunch yesterday after HOT soup was served at school and spilled on her. A scoby is a bacteria that is needed to turn tea into kombucha. I do have both available if you want to try to make them at home. They are easy and much less expensive.

Kelly, A school or daycare should not serve foods so hot they will burn a child. That is horrible. Don't let them sweep that under the rug. If they don't self report, y'all must report it. Three year olds are served foods just a little over room temp. Texas Dept. Of Family and Protective Services needs to know and investigate. I ran a big day care. This is awful.

She is in pre-k 3. No, soup should not be served that hot to anyone. The school says when they checked temp of soup is was at 161 degrees! Yes the event has been well documented and pictured. Poor baby has second degree burns. Right now we are just keeping her comfortable. She is in pain and is very wrapped in gauze. School has already enforced no child is able to carry soup any longer. It will be carted out to each child. Such a mess and should have never happened. But it will be reported.

Yes it's a really small quaint public school. I just can't believe how the cook or the server could let that hot of a bowl of tomato soup go into a little ones hands. It's beyond me. Yes that oatmeal is pretty warm too it sounds. They are on their way home from hospital now. She is doing good, it will be a long recovery though.

Well, I am pleased to say that I successfully made my first batch of kombucha and it came out great! I started a 2nd batch yesterday. What a cool process! The kefir came out too, though I think I need to get use to the taste. Thanks Kelly for introducing me and for the great barter. It's always fun learning something new
