I hope you're feeling "lucky" that it's March Mail Art

If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on that post if you want to participate and I will contact you.

FOR MARCH, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to join in. Sign-up is available through March 15. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.

This month, we'll keep on with our theme and challenge that we started in January. Beth Farmer has chosen for us this month and our theme will be Window Sill Art. I just love that! And since St. Patrick's Day is upon us, our challenge will be to add a shamrock or two to our creations. And as always, if the theme/challenge isn't right for you, feel free to "march" to the beat of your own artistic drummer.

I will send an email with your partner to you on March 16. Please send your Mail Art before March 31.

A couple of things to keep in mind:
1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art.
2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.

Happy Swapping!

Kristi

Oh my Kristi, what have I done! My brain is spinning and wondering what in the world can I create. It sounded so easy when I was suggesting it to you. I always worry that what I like others might not, but I sure do have fun with my ideas. Let the creating began! Sign me up

Beth, absolutely, spot-on perfect! An open-ended, multi-faceted theme. The window sill can be a metaphor for so many things! And I happen to think it is a most under-appreciated architectural feature. I'm in!

Beth, I'm with Sara. This is a fantastic theme for the month as it can be interpreted so many different ways. I think it's wildly creative

Having "sew" much fun with the fabric swap I would love to try this, sign me up.
Do I e-mail you my info like I did for fabric swap or do you have it since I've signed up for a couple other farmgirl forums.

Hi! I'm new on this forum bit I find the concept so very charming. Please sign me up :)
And, just for precision, the Art can be form any medium? (paint, sew, resin...)?

This one kind of frightens me. How to implement window art with shamrocks. But KristiW I will give it a try. If it's easy, you are not creatively pushed.

Marilou, I'm emailing you with details also. Mail Art is any art form, the only limits are your imagination (and sometimes postage!).
